Cool. I'll try to submit a bunch of box shots this weekend if I have time and if I remember. 🙂

Modeps, have you considered working on a Facebook app and some HTML "gamercards" for the site? I need to register, but last I tried, you had it closed.

Yeah, that's been considered. We're busy on the main parts of the site first, but will be putting something together. The signups are all open, no reason to shut them off yet so feel free to sign up.

I signed up (i think) I put in MonKENy as my name and i assume that the sockey is password? Do i need a confirmation because it wont let me log in.

you should have received a confirmation email sent to the address you signed up with. If you didnt get it yet, let me now.

Scratch that, it doesnt look like you signed up. I'll be updating the signup stuff users are less confused. SocKey is password, it needs to get changed to that.

I tried it again, and I know I hit creat not x i made double sure of it. But still no conformation email 🙁 I must be stupid

Did you get a confirmation message that your account was created? There's still no record of you in the DB. I can manually add you if you'd like, PM me your info and I'll put you in.

Looks like I'm getting formatting errors in the Edit Profile page, along with the line:

"Notice: Undefined variable: uName in /opt/vhost/sochl.com/www/html/profile.php on line 93"

I can still change stuff (if I can see it) and save it, but the formatting is all screwed up. IE7 is my browser.

blurred, I'm well aware of that one, good thing its not showstopping. I'll be rolling out the update to fix that today or tomorrow... but the formatting of the page looks really bad. what browser is that?

Yeah, hopefully some of the changes I'm making now will resolve those IE7 issues. I'll have to test on that a lot more.

What's up with your sig?

I don't know. I think a mods been at it. The tags were all effed up yesterday and today I have huge blank space. IDK. <shrug>

Modeps, have you made changes to your site within the past week or so? It looks a lot better in Safari than it does in IE7 if you haven't. I'm setting up Macbook Pro's and wanted to see what it looked like 😛

Yep, there have been changes. I have not been testing on IE7 yet (safari and firefox mostly) but will be fixing the quirks in due time.

Did you have any plans for news items like on Gamer's Pouch? I don't really see where you'd put it if you were planning on adding it, but I figured I'd offer my services again like I did on GP.

Also, I thought it would be neat if you added a section for text user reviews. You could make it open to all users, or maybe hand select certain users to be able to write reviews so you wouldn't have to moderate as much. THEN, you could have a reviews section to where you could see the latest posted reviews, search and sort by reviewer, search and sort by score, etc. If you could gather some decent freelance reviewers that weren't biased, that might help drive a bit of traffic also. That should only take, what, a couple of hours to code? 😉 😛

Welp, I thought about adding news, but honestly I dont think that's the best idea. People can get their gaming news anywhere they want. I know that I'm not going to spend the time in posting news unless its related to a game I'm interested in (which stinks, but I dont care about barbie games). What I thought about doing was adding a digg-style news section, user submitted. People vote on their favorite topics and I'll display the most recent, highest voted. That wont be for a while though if at all.

See that blank area to the right of the blog entries? 🙂 We've plotted out room for the reviews, I just have not had the time to focus on those yet. Those will come after Groups is launched, which should be within a couple weeks. I'm currently working on some updates to user profiles that should make everyone happy... adding some more common features found elsewhere around the web, and also "WRUP" to let everyone know what games you are currently playing.

That's definitely understandable. I guess you have an idea of how far exactly you want to take the site....you add too much stuff and you suddenly appear to be competing with the likes of IGN and Gamespot.

Well, if you need any help with content, I'm always available.
