Canada has not been impressive so far. Hopefully they can function as a team, soon. Or they'll go the way of the Russians.

The difference is that Canada is a solid team. By far the best defense in the tournament, and the best player in the world up front. The Russians had a lot of star power up front with Malkin, Ovechkin, Kovalchuk, Radulov, and Datsyuk, but everything else was very suspect. I never expected them to medal although I didn't think they would fall to Finland.

Anything can happen in a short tournament, but in my personal opinion, the remaining teams stack as follows:

1. Canada
2. US
....
3. Sweden
4. Finland

And no one else should have any chance at a medal.

Problem has always been whether they can play as a team. That is what happened to Russia, they played as individuals.

Can't stream anything at work.
Realized that Comcast has an office in my building and they have their wifi set up. Weak signal but what the hell. Brought my tablet in to work figuring I will log on and watch the US game in a half hour.

Nope. Last minute meeting and lunch scheduled at 11. So fucking angry right now. Provided the US wins today there will be a sick day on Friday. Not taking any chances of last minute meetings being scheduled.

we just hooked up the xfinity app on our 46" plasma in the team room.

Woot, now to grab lunch before the game starts.

I'm jealous.
Any good twitter feeds I should be following to keep track of the game. I can make that look somewhat innocent.

We have not been very good. Swedes and The US could easily beat us and so could Finland if Rask is really on his game.

The US-Canada semi is going to be huge! Good thing I have that day off. 😎

KT
Given that Carter and Doughty are your leading goal scorers, I'm hoping familiarity breeds contempt for Quick

Sounds like russia got beatdown.

Hope the weather in siberia this time of year is nice. I'd definitely stay away from Katyn.

I'm on a mobile, don't get those normal pop ups.

Did you try? I'm on my phone right now and I'm staring right at the scores from google. They're not a popup, it's part of the search results (top of the page, where the sponsored results would normally be). Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're looking for.

damn, went to ESPN to check the Can-Lat score, saw the next score in the USA game.

Apparently the xfinity streaming is about 3 minutes behind.

Is there a cameraless version!

Since the QF stage was introduced at the Olympics in 1992, no defending champion has made it past this round. Canada 1, Latvia 1 after 20.
