Nikon D50
Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S VR
Nikon 50mm f/1.8D
Nikon 24-85mm f/2.8-4.0D

The 18-200mm is really convenient as a stay-on-camera walkaround lens for 95% of my pictures. Big on my wish list are the 17-55mm f/2.8 AF-S and the 70-200mm f/2.8 AF-S VR.
I have a long list of glass to buy before I upgrade from the D50. It's a great little camera, and the best $600 I ever spent.

Because I do so much theatre production work, I naturally take a lot of pictures in there, which is rather challenging for my budget due to the low light. The 24-85mm f/2.8-4.0 and the 50mm f/1.8 have gotten me some shots that I am very pleased with, but my next lens purchase will be the 35mm f/2.0D, which converts to a decently fast normal lens on Nikon DX bodies.

Sony A100 (just sold my KM 7D *sniff*)
Konica-Minolta 28-75 f2.8 (D)
KM 17-35 f2.8-4.5 (D)
Minolta 28 f2.0
Minolta 50 f1.7
Minolta 100 f2.8 Macro
Minolta 28-85 f3.5-4.5 (soon to be sold)
Minolta 70-210 f4
Minolta 70-300 f4.5-5.6 (also up for sale)
KM 3600HS(D) flash
Sony HVL-F56AM flash
Two remote cords
Too many camera bags
UV, Skylight, and CPLs

I've done some landscape, some portraiture, some birds and animals, and one baptism for a friend. I'd like to expand my portrait work, but I need some place to work which I don't currently have in this house. I just acquired the 100mm macro, and I am just learning how to use that. Current favorite is the 28mm f/2.0 which is a real gem -- excellent focus, spectacular colors, and amazing sharpness. I'm starting to see the appeal of prime lenses, which is simply bad for the bank account!

great, nice to see Anandtech forums with a photography section. I'll be here more often now.

Another amateur, serious hobbyist here. Started out with a Canon A80 some years ago. Found I really enjoyed it, and broke the bank since, hence the 4-5 year old PC.

I post more than I should, but I try to let all the parents see there kids in action on the field.

I took photography at a young age, enjoyed it, but never took it up. When my Daughter started playing soccer. I picked up the camera again.

Gear -
Canon 20D
430ex flash
kit lens (never leaves the house)
Nifty Fifty 50mm F1.8
Sigma 70-200 F2.8
Canon 100-400 F4.5 - 5.6L IS

I'm hoping to try a business at this next summer. Focused on "Sports Photography" I've done some custom posters of my Daughter, and Parents are asking for the same. Hope to start with our team, and grow from there.
