It's going to be ~$13,000 in damages, and $1,395 to clean the house. I have six walls to be repainted, an unrepairable leather couch I waited almost two years to have made for me, lost 2 of my computers, 1 of 2 Martin Logan electrostatic StatementE2's (not cheap at all), my Hex-Com, and a few other things.

Wow, what can I say, Wow!

Cliff notes:

Shennagins.

Too much blood for a kitten. It doesn't take five guys in hazmat suits to clean up dead kitten mess.

That could have been resolved so EASILY if the stupid ass would have told his girlfriend "My dog will kill your cat." Or on the second post to his parents "My dog killed the cat."

Blown way out of proportion... makes a good read, but seriously if this was to happen in real life you'd think he'd let them in on those two 5-6 word sentences. Personally... I think he's FOS and made it up from the idea spinning around in his head when he was talking to his GF on the phone why not to bring the cat :p.

If this did happen, the guy is a damn idiot and shouldn't be felt sorry for. Hope he learned from his mistake.

The girlfriend was a dumbass? I didn't know what the hell a Akita was when he mentioned it. For all I could have known it could have been some type of gerbil. The guy was definitely stupid not to tell his GF outright that his DOG would kill her cat if she brought it to his house.

P.S. I still think he's FOS and made it up :p

You've never seen an Akita have you? (Or I guess you made that obvious).
Akitas aren't Poodles or Labradors and the differences are obvious at first sight. Why don't you google for an image? An Akita looks like a mix between a Husky and a Rottweiler. That the dog would kill the cat should have been obvious to the GF (if the guy didn't tell her, which you don't know either).
Please don't post from ignorance.

wow, my neighbor has two big Akitas. They are so cool. I couldn't ever see either one hurting a fly though. They also have two cats which like to sleep on the dogs when it's time for bed.

I totally agree here.... just saying "the dog killed the cat" could have saved a lot of problems for anyone..... He and the GF are both idiots, the parens not that much, they were just worried for the daughter, so the magic sentence "the dog killed the cat" could have worked well...

Edit: One uncle has an Akita..... still young (18 months) so the big guy is basically a child, and as so, he loves to play..... but my uncle wants him to get more serious about becoming a guardian. Just a matter of time
