they threatened the US and have declared war on us.

when germany declared war on us in 1940's we took action immediately.

since we mostly pulled out of iraq/afgan, resources arent scarce. plus dont we still have readiness for war on 2 fronts so it shouldnt matter?

at the beginning of the iraqi war, sadamm had 2500 pieces of armor. a week later, he had ZERO.

so why havent we bombed the heck out of north korea yet?

Why should we? Until they actively start hostilities...meaning actually making war on the US...we should just sit back, remain at the ready...and watch.

Worked out great for Pearl Harbor.

That's a whole different can of worms...so, you're advocating attacking a foreign nation because of things they say...rather than waiting for them to actually DO something hostile?

Personally, I don't give two shits if NK rolls over the DMZ and takes the entire peninsula...that's between the "two Koreas," not a matter for the US military to get involved with...Leave it to the UN to deal with.

Agree with BoomerD. Li'l Un is crazier than his daddy or he's getting some bad advice from his military.

Having said that, it would be kind of cool watching Obama not be able to make a decision should they start aggresive actions against us.

Oh really? So you think that it can't and won't happen again? Who is the stupid one?

Japan. Industrial Nation with the greatest/largest navy on earth at the time with extremely advanced technology and some of the most skilled pilots of the war. USA lacking satellite coverage of the country and seas.

N. Korea. Pilots get less airtime than the average high school student with a copy of MS Flight Simulator. With a Naval fleet that could be taken out by Canadians tossing rocks.

First of all, bullshit on your Japan info.

Second, who said anything about needing planes or ships?

Consequently, at the beginning of World War II, Japan probably had the most sophisticated Navy in the world.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imperial_Japanese_Army_Air_Force#Organization
By 1941, the Japanese Army Air Force had about 1,500 combat capable aircraft. During the first years of the war, Japan continued technical development and deployment of increasingly advanced aircraft and enjoyed air superiority over most battlefields due to the combat experience of its crews, plus the low numbers and lack of preparation of the allied forces.
Oh yes, they can use the rockets that have never been shown to be able to reach targets outside the immediate Korea/Japan area or use their artillery line to hit seoul, which wouldn't be silenced even WITH a first strike, unless you nuke it, which raises other issues.

Probably. Yep, I'm convinced.

Also, from you own link the US had double the size of Navy at the onset of WWII.

You haven't "stomped North Korea yet" because there are 25 million people living in the Seoul metropolitan area, and it's within artillery range of the North Korean border ...

I agree with the first part but people will care if the SK electronics industry tanks. Economic faille will most likely be huge.

Well, to most of the inhabitants in PH, yes.

Well, naturally. The peons are rarely if ever given advance warning by those who sell them out to advance their own agenda. That would defeat the purpose of sacrificing them in the first place.

If FDR and his war criminal cabinet had told Pearl Harbor what was about to happen, the attack would have been ambushed and destroyed, and the American people probably wouldn't have been galvanized enough to support joining a new world war.

Its also a logistics issue.

You can't go into North Korea unless its through China, or if you're landing troops on a beach in NK somewhere. North Korea can very easily close the border to SK. And China sure as fuck isn't going to let the United States walk through their territory. It'd pretty much just be all airstrikes and long ranged missiles.

North Korea has not "declared war" with the US. They said they are at a "state of war" with South Korea, which technically they have been since the Korean War reached a treaty (the war itself never actually ended).

So, in short, I'm thankful that people that actually know what the @#$! is going on are in charge of such matters and not people like the OP that just think they do.

And if I hadn't ate that burrito this morning, I might not have to shit right now. I can't prove what might have happened if I skipped the burrito.

Back to the topic. Pearl Harbor isn't it, I just used it as an analogy to what happens when you ignore things.

Oh yes. Because the US starting up war games and flexing our military e-peen at Korea is ignoring them.

Hate to bring it up again, especially after my last post but again, this mentality worked out great for Pearl Harbor.
