I'm sure they've heard by now that the south lost, so why the hell are they using it on homes, cars, etc?

For the same reason any other ethnic or national group does the "silly" things they do, to preserve their heritage and culture. The South wasn't just about slaves you know.

Yes they are Rednecks, but thank goodness you Yankees are so quick to help us out down here.

Lost what? The War of Northern Agression? I challenge you to ask someone who's flying the stars and bars why they're proud of the flag. Yes, many of them are "country folk" who may not be that educated, but I guarantee that they're just as proud of that flag as they are of the US flag. Those are good people that will give you whatever they can IF they like you and IF you're good to them. If you ridicule them or look down on them, your in for trouble! Don't piss off a Redneck. Oh, by the way, calling them a Redneck is not offensive to them. They're proud of their flag and their heritage, just like the Puerto Ricans and Cubans who fly their national flags from the rear view mirror.

Get over it. If you don't like it, ignore it.

but wrigley field is very nice (aside from the obstructed view in a lot of the seats). very old school, open.... it's just nice.

It isn't to spite anyone. Yes some ignorant people have one to cause a racial divide. 99% of the time it is just Southerners proud of our heritage. We do things at a slower pace, we go out of way to help others and we love our region. I see nothing wrong with that.

I get mixed signals of it's meaning when I see the flag on the General Lee...

and then the flag on the back of the grandmasters 4x4 on highway 301.

But it's popular in the south. It's not going anywhere.
