We all naturally like to soften our language, to make it seem like a more natural flow without rigid structure.
That is especially true when we are not trying to draft up incredibly formal content or have something published. If you're like me, you more often enter into a "stream of consciousness" approach to writing/speaking, as opposed to piecing together an eloquent structure with a harmonious and coherent flow between every word from start to finish.
Granted, I haven't spent 30 years in the most prestigious academic institutions or surrounded by individuals from the same; thus, I haven't bothered to whip my natural train of thought into grammatically perfect prose.
That, or I'm just too lazy and impatient to try and train my brain like that.
If I'm trying to compose something formal, I usually need to either slow down a lot, or edit a fair bit. When I post here, for instance, I don't stop all that often to recompose.
