I'm disappointed...a whole thread about Mark Hamill's later roles and not a single picture or mention of him as Cock Knocker!

Mark tried to cash in on his fame from SW, by starring in Corvett Summer. That movie was so bad, it killed any hopes for further film success outside of being Luke.

I'd say Ford had him in the looks dept by a long shot. Plus you got the impression in the original Star Wars movies Ford was the better actor.

It's a parallel to the star wars story. Han fought the empire tooth and nail. Flying though the galaxy, doging bouty hunters and getting laid.

Luke on the other hand spent all his free time shooting wombats and playing with a muppet. The only useful thing he ever did is help free Han.

Actually, he was "bullseyeing womprats" but I digress.

Harrisson Ford was becoming George Lucas's "Bobby DeNiro", an allusion to the number of Scorsese films that DeNiro starred in. He noticed that and started looking for other roles. He was clearly the more talented and more marketable actor.
