I come Her to See the Brainwashing effect. I listen to Rush, Hannity, Savage, Beck and such during the Day and Visit this Forum to See HS, Cad, Galt, and The Like reciting their Talking points like good little Students.

It has a funky smell that I find myself strangely compelled to keep trying to get a fresh whiff of.

At first I wanted to have some good debates by intelligent people who wanted to find the root of problems.

Note the words "At first"

Now I just stop in every now and then and resist the urge to call everyone a Dumb@ss and walk away. I stop in when I have some free time and see a thread that I have something to contribute to. Some people feel the need to post in every single thread no matter how ignorant they are on the subject. Not me. I just post when I have something to contribute. If the flamefest is in full effect, I have two options. One, I can just leave find another thread. Or two, I can play devils advocate and try to see how high the flames can get. Usually I choose the former.

The problem with this forum is that there are too many people who seem to know everything. I wish I knew everything because then I would know what goes through those people's minds sometimes.

Anyhoo, this post is long enough and I am tired. So have fun and happy posting!

Venting.

The Bush administration has driven me to distraction.

I won't stand-by quietly, while our elected (?) representatives blatantly lie to us and the unchecked corruption continues--

This Alice in Wonderland, up-is-down-down-is-up world has to end now.

America and the democratic ideals set-out by the founders demand our vigilance and protection.

I'm not willing to allow Bush and his hatchet-rabble to pi$$ on America.

That, and then this forum does remind me of a scene from Cujo.
It can get as Ugly as Katie Harris (Fl.)

I never believed in hell but after reading here for awhile have decided that perhaps I was too hasty in making that conclusion:)

I bask in knowing I am of the minority in any given group, here, in my state, and at the college I attended I was a conservative voice in a vast sea of foaming at the mouth loonie liberal bleeding hearts...I guess you could say I always enjoyed going against the grain.

I ventured here via looking for information regarding a technical issue with one of my computers.. having not gotten a response I figured I'd wander about and see if this type of forum is just for folks who already know everything and are not interested in sharing their time for the benefit of someone who ain't got a clue... then I wandered into the 'Off Topic' area and witnessed all manner of idiosyncratic dialog along with some deep thinking and articulation. Now then, being possessed with all the requisite qualifications necessary to facilitate a somewhat reasonable argument in certain areas I threw in my two cents worth. I was met with argument and ridicule... both of which I enjoy... both of which I can and do find a fruitfull use of my time. Then the next day I read Moonbeam and Hayabusrider and knew then that life did exist in this forum... So there it is... Nobody stradles the pinnacle of ideology. Nope... No matter the issue there will always be argument against whatever I think is right.. and this is good... I hate knowing that everything I think is right... :D

Am I the only who find conservatives who claim to be "going against the grain" hilarious? It goes against the very definition of the word for crying out loud...

College Republicans who consider themselves the "shock troops of the right" are even funnier.

No kidding. I need to write a script that will follow up every one of his posts with a "Nuh Uh, you crusty old republican bastard!"

That would teach 'im. :)
