This one is called Nemo, I guess snowstorms get their own names now :awe:

And I love how the weather channel is calling it a "potentially historic blizzard", like there has never been 2 foot storms in the northeast in the past.

lol, the headline on the weather channel right now is "ALERT: Historic, Crippling Blizzard Ahead"

HEAVY SNOW AND FREEZING RAIN WILL MAKE FOR DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS. IN ADDITION... THE HEAVY SNOW AND STRONG WINDS COULD RESULT IN NEAR BLIZZARD CONDITIONS... BRINGING DOWN SOME TREE LIMBS... AND CAUSING SCATTERED POWER OUTAGES.

The TV dudes are having a lot of fun with this - cute logo's, making fun of each other's snow gear, interviewing pet owners and warning them that the snow might be taller than their pets.

Hope all of you stay well.

6 to 12 inches(here) is a lot of heavy wet snow.

24" of snow and 50+mph winds? What could possibly go wrong? Add in the fact that my street loses power every time a pigeon farts and I'm looking at no ATOT for 1-2 weeks...

I'm looking forward to it. Stocking up on food, don't have to be anywhere Saturday. Just going to relax and enjoy it.

yeesh, based on that map I'm in the 18-24 region, fvck!!
Same here. Ugh...

I moved away from Syracuse because I got sick of this shit. While these events aren't as common as CNY they're still a PITA.

Superstorm Returns!

It's like a bad Syfy movie as almost 20 years ago, we had a fun superstorm that created what I remember as The Blizzard of '93. I know we have some old photos of it, but I know we ended up getting between two to three feet in Pennsylvania.

Democrat super majority.

so they're going to change the rule that they dont need 67% to kill a fillabuster?
plus kill other stupid republican parlimentiary rules?

i always thought that was stupid since the US senate only needed 60%.

Women say sex is like snow, never know how many inches you're gonna get or how long it's going to last.....

I don't know anything about California's rules or even how many state senators they have. I just know I read that they have a super majority and I assumed that meant filibuster proof.
