it won't be Cheney - too old/health problems, i don't think he'll be the nominee. plus he is the only guy the libs hate more than Bush, not a good pick to run against Billary

Hilary with ??

republican, i dunno

moderate southern/western govenors have the best chance, see which southern/western states have highly popular govenors that will be ending a 2nd term in '08 and flip a coin

I could see McCain, however he said in a recent interview that he is not getting younger. I would like see Condi Rice run, but I highly doubt that would happen.

Cheney will be stepping down soon.

Giuliani will be named the replacement.

Interesting. Giuliani is very charasmatic imo. He did a superb job as mayor of NY. I think he'd be a nice upgrade for VP.

Giuliani is a fvcking tool. He turned into the biggest political whore of all time in the last couple of months.

i forgot about Giuliani , he could run against Billiary, but it would be a subway series, not good selling to south/flyover states, although the 9/11 tie in he has would probably work

i agree. To me, its obvious he's gearing up for a run in 08 by so heavily supporting and campaigning for Bush.

Edit: Not about the tool part, but the political whore part.

I think McCain would win...and Guiliani would have a really great chance of winning as well......
I don't think that the redneck conservative wing(real basis) of the party would allow either to win the primary though......think back to Bush v. McCain in 2000

mcCain is too old and couldn't get the conservatives last time he tried, he won't be the man in '08

they could try to counter billiary with Rice as VP, if it looks like it will be close, but she has never held elected office, so i don't think it would fly

Democratic Canidates: Hillary Clinton, Howard Dean redux, John Edwards, Barak Obama
Republican Canidates: Rudy Giulliani, John McCain, Bill Frist

it's hard to really project this far in advance, though, because we'll also have the mid-term elections to deal with in 2006.

Barak Obama is quite the rising star, it wouldn't surprise me either if he was in the mix for '08.

If this were going to happen, it would've happened before the election.

The moment the first plane hit one of the two Towers Giuliani became a great mayor. Prior to that he was a fsck up with a limp dick.

Hillary has no chance. Bring back Dean while he is still relatively young.

I don't know who the republicans will be running in 2008. The mentions of Giulliani are interesting.

My estimation is that the democrats will be running Hillary Clinton in 2008.

I really hope not Guiliani for 2008. The last thing I want to see is another capaign based on 9/11.

The top 2 Republicans for 2004 are Rudy Giuliani and Bill Frist. Unless someone surprising steps forward I think it will be one of them. Both are very good candidates, although I think Giuliani would get the nod.

It wouldn't suprise me to see him run, I think he would do well. But it likely won't happen till 2012.
