I don't know of any specific books that are focused on improving grammar, but general reading of novels will help to improve both your reading AND writing skills over time.

Shouldn't it be "who wants to improve his grammar"? I'm just guessing.

Actually, there's one book that I highly recommend, but I can't find my copy of it to tell you the title and editors. It's really good. I'm looking for it.

Edit: I found The Art of Styling Sentences, but that's not the one. It's from the same class as the other, though. I thought they'd be together.

What if the person doesn't have a penis?

You could say "his or her" if you really wanted, but in English it's acceptable (as far as grammar is concerned) to use the masculine pronoun in that situation. For me, it's personal preference. Constructions using "his or her" can get ugly really quickly, and unless you're speaking to a group of girls, "his" functions pretty neatly.

That's how I feel about it. I'm sure some would disagree. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, after all. ;)

But, really, I don't even know if that's correct. I'm just wary of using "their" in place of a singular pronoun, because it's gotten me into trouble in the past. I honestly don't know.

You'll learn better grammar on ATOT quicker than you will anywhere else, there are so many spelling nazis here...

I only really have a problem when people say "your" instead of "you're", that really bugs me for some reason...

Anyway I'm sure your going to improve quickly if you feel you need to.

:D
