So who is is still going old school and using cds?

CD's? What are those?

I have an African Umbutu tribe I carry around in my car with me to play live tribal music when I drive. I don't even have to feed them!

err, I have cd player in my car, but I just listen to the radio, does that count as old(er) school?

i have a 97 altima with a cd player, being that its old it has no mp3 support. i have a few cds i always keep in the car, and a 2gb zen v plus as well...but i have to use an fm transmitter, and it sucks horribly.

This is what I have in my car.

I have the phatbox, works with my factory radio. It is basically a virtual CD changer and you add virtual CDs to the hard drive, and the factory radio thinks it's just a CD changer with like 100+ cd's in it heh.

thats sweet...but discontinued 🙁 Did it work with any factory radio? I'm looking for something like that without having to install a new head unit.

I have had my car 2 years and used the cd player once. All of my CDs have been boxed and in storage for several years now.

Haha, yep. Single disc deck and I have a CD wallet on the front passenger seat (keep it in the trunk when I'm parked).

The car stereos with iPod inputs were too friggin' expensive when I got my deck and I haven't bothered to upgrade.

Kind of old school in that I have a 6-disc CD changer in my car which I use more then the AUX port.

Not old schoold because nearly every CD that's been in the changer since I got the car has been an MP3 CD.

i think it only works with VW and AUDI radios, at least the one I have. I know it works with any factory radios in the MK4 VW's.

I believe they had others for other types of cars but not 100%.

i actually bought mine after it was discontinued from someone over at vwvortex.

Too much work to cycle through all the songs to find what I want. I just use teh AUX port and an iphone and listen to pandora

I have an Alpine iDA-X001, no CD player, just radio and a sweet iPod interface.

I buy CDs, rip them, and just use my iPod.

I'm real old school and just listen to the radio for the 10 minutes each way it takes me to go to and from work.

I have a 6 disk in-dash in the charger.
I use satellite radio, since in '06 they didn't put an aux jack in that car. And I haven't got around to spending several hundred for an ipod hookup.

Satellite radio >*

If I do feel like listening to my own tunes, I carry a wallet of CD's with me. CD's just sound better than MP3's.
