Always let the car warm up for 30-2minutes atleast before you start riding.
This should be done even after the break in period.
From what I heard try to baby the car during the break in period and try not to go on the highways. I guess it has already been mentioned above about not hitting high RPMs or staying at a certain RPM for too long.
The other way I heard to break in a car is to drive it fairly hard. The theory behind this is it will "smooth" out the engine and thus making it last longer. I don't know if this is true or not, but people who do this say the manufacture would never recommend this as if something does go wrong it would be their fault.
Anyways by driving it hard you will iron out some impurities and that means perhaps some metal pieces in your oil. You are then supposed to change the oil earlier than the deadline for the first oil change.
Another thing some people like to do is change the transmission fluids also. I guess there could be some metal pieces in it too after the break in period?
I have never had a friend or even a person I know drive it really hard during the break in period, change the oil prematurely, or change the transmission fluid that early. My bro read up on these things.
