For starters I nearly always use Albacore in water when available, and will outright refuse to consume tuna in oil if I don't have to. Unfortunately I brought in oil by mistake and forgot to get the other ingredients I need to make tuna salad.

Let see I haven't made it in awhile, a few years at least and I'm trying to remember how I prepared some last time. Off hand I used:

Sliced Black Olives.
Salt.
Black Pepper.
Hot Sauce.
Pickle Relish.
Onions.
Mustard.
Eggs.
And sometimes Mayo.

Well that is what I can recall. So how do you make yours?

Tuna
Mayo
Onions
Celery
Pickles
Black pepper

It's been a long time since I've had tuna salad. Probably more than a decade. On a side note, I went to a restaurant a few weeks ago and they put eggs in their potato salad - should be a felony.

What is wrong with eggs in potato salad?

I don't make it. I'd rather have plain tuna. Favorite is American Tuna brick smoked in olive oil.

Come to think of it, I have used soy sauce quite a few times before. And I always use two cans of tuna , sometimes three or four.

Hard boiled eggs are up there with licorice on my 'most unpalatable foods' scale. It makes me mildly nauseous just thinking about them. Looking up recipes, I guess I'm the weird one because they all seem to have eggs in them. I've never even thought to add them to it. :p

Well there is nothing wrong with licorice, black that is.

Weird. They sell hard-boiled eggs in shrink-packs at convenience stores here. I get them all the time. Quick protein boost. Yum!
Yeah, I've never really enjoyed eggs in general, but hard boiled eggs are something I just can't stand.

TBH, I don't like either mayo or Miracle whip. The point of using mustard and hot sauce to avoid or use less mayo. And of course to add more flavor.

That's a crime against humanity. I'll be having food nightmares for days. " Lunchables" are higher quality.

The one you don't have to eat?

I love ahi tuna served as sushi/sashimi, or as a steak, but canned tuna just isn 't appealing to me.

You haven't had the right canned tuna. Try American Tuna. It's spendy, but it's by far the best I've had. You open the can, and there's just a solid puck of tuna inside. American caught, and American canned.
