well hey, you people got it all mixed up 😛
having more girls in anime doesnt mean its intended for girls (save for uta-kata, which seems to be appealing to multiple groups of audience), more likely its the exact opposite... havnt heard of too many girls watching NC18 game based anime which obviously have more amount of girl/women than several other series combined 🙂 in reality, a 'girly anime' would be either a boy-meets-girl romance like Hana Yori Dango (no, i dont watch it) or BL like this one (yuck).
harem shows and h-game based animes are strictly male oriented.
