I watched that for a few weeks a while back. It's like a damn soap opera. Did the good guys ever kill that Naraku (sp?) villain?

I love the manga. A very good read. Just caught up with the Berserk manga, and that's even better.

I've been working on completing my berserk collection, I'm missing about 3 eps

naruto i saw a bit of and was interested in,
i liked hellsing.
im thinking most of those are old, i dont really watch anime. but i liked those.

can someone tell me why full metal has the name it does?
reference to the movie, the ammo or just catchy?

Gankutsuou is the name, and from what I've heard it's pretty good. Saw the first episode, weird animation.

Macross Super Dimensional Fortress Box 1, 2, 3 (oldy but goodie)

excellent series, possibly one of the best gainax work if not one of the greatest series of all. imho anyway 🙂

BigJ, you would be quite dissapointed in negima anime if you are like me... go ahead and watch some to find out why 🙁

The Manga is much better than the Anime, and that's saying a lot. Plus the Anime only covers a part of the Manga, and you actually find out what the hell happens. I doubt they'll ever continue it, because they left out at least two major characters.

Blue Gender blows.

Inuyasha is a fun anime, I like watching it. Got to keep it in perspective, it is not as dramatic as something like Cowbody Bebop or Wolf's Rain but it is still a fun and entertaining anime.

Wolf's Rain is pretty good, but hell it is almost too depressing for me.

Samurai Champloo - meh
Berserk - meh

I'm watching the weekly Naruto (really good and really bad at times), Mai-Hime (meh), and Initial D 4th Stage (meh).

I agree with you, but I've always wondered if the subs have really bad voice actors, but since we don't speak the language or are exposed to the culture everday, that we don't realize it.

i am feeling obligated to recomend this great series to everyone. good to see there are more than a handful ATOTers watching it as we speak 🙂 how many english fansubbed eps are out now?

I prefer dubs as long as they are done well. There are too many anime snobs who think they must have subtitles, but I have probably seen more poorly done subs than dubs.

True, some subs are really bad quality. For the more popular series, you should be able to find very HQ subs though.

to me it seems that for the type of anime cartoon network seems to be particularly fond of, namely action genre, voice acting plays lesser role compared to other genres, say comedy. try dubbing 2x2 shinobuden and i can guarantee you it wouldnt be anything remotely close to being funny. on the other hand, english fansubs for galaxy angel was so poorly done, not only it ceased to be funny but totally incomprehensible altogether at times. definitely the worst fansubbing effort i have seen up to date.

Lately I have been collecting the following:
Wolf's Rain
Ghost ing the Shell:SAC
Lain
Last Exile
Cowboy Bebop
Bublegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040 (Are they making a second series?)

Blue Gender - really really good...until the last five minutes. I still don't understand WTF happened. But at least there's closure, as the series ends after 8 DVD's.

Unlike my current favorite, Inuyasha, which doesn't seem like it's ever going to end, but that's a good thing.

huh? i thought inuyasha ended quite a while back and rumiko was supposed to resume it later this year. i dont really follow the series closely but remember hearing something to that effect.

Champloo is great but they're on a break, should start up again soon though. Berserk is pretty fvcked up. They're supposed to start airing season 2, can't wait for that one.
