Fedex delivered a package to me on Christmas! UPS would have never done that.

I bet the employee who delivered it to you was absolutely delighted that he got to work on Christmas day so you could get your package.
I shouldn't have to bribe these people to do their job. And I've never gotten the same driver twice.Originally posted by: uncJIGGA
Make an effort to get to know your local delivery guy, and maybe buy him lunch a few times. It makes a world of difference. I was eating lunch with my dad the other day, and he gets a call on his cellphone. Its the FedEx guy, and he's like "yo, that package you're looking for is here, but you're not. I know I can't leave it with Sherry [she works for a different company/different office/same office park, dad usually redirects packages there when he's not in] cuz she's out, and I know you need this today but I shouldn't leave it unattended...you eating nearby?" Dad's like "yeah, meet me at Monterrey's", so he comes and delivers the package to us at the restaurant!!!
The UPS guy is even cooler...me and him hang out sometimes, and he even hooked me up with a date once (he's all like "yeah, I know a hot Indian chick ordering books from Amazon all the time!" too bad he didn't mention she was like 8 years older until AFTER I met her...)

uhh, noone asked him to do it. I wasn't expecting it until the next day (though it was scheduled for delivery on XMas Eve).

How about giving us the choice of carrier? In my area, the fedex ground drivers can't navigate their way out of a paper bag while the UPS drivers are flawless.

You do have a choice. You can choose to buy your stuff from a place that ships UPS.

I have much better luck with FedEx than UPS.
I think most do, including myself.
I rather use US Mail before I use overpriced UPS

B/C most NewEgg customers experience great service with FedEx. I've NEVER had a problem with Fedex or packaged shipped from NewEgg via FedEx. They always arrive here within 2 days EVEN using the Saver shipping...and I'm on the EAST COAST!!So tired of Fedex...why can't Newegg just use UPS???
Everybody has horror stories with EVERY carrier. Nothing new here![]()
I was buying from googlegear...until they were unwilling to do what I considered a nice gesture for a customer who had just spent over $1000, so now I only use newegg.Originally posted by: Jeff7181

Like GoogleGear... similar prices to Newegg, and they use UPS.
