So there's a warrant out for my arrest

What I find rather funny (besides the charge itself) is that there were 3 cops on a boat. Did they really need that many at once?

I don't know man... things can get pretty fishy out there.

Those cops need to patrol the lake that my brother fishes. They NEVER catch anyone without a license, and it seems like 90% of the "fishers" there don't have licenses, since the second fish and game decide to show up, they scatter.

Recreational fishing in the 2nd degree.

This is precious.

Another victory in the global war on terror ...

The war on terror has nothing to do with it.

The Department of Fish and Game is there specifically to manage the population of our wildlife. Fishing and hunting licenses/tags largely pay for this department to continue to operate. They issue tags and set quotas on how many fish you are allowed to catch and set minimum size limits etc. They don't do this to generate revenue but to help control population growth and keep wildlife at healthy sustainable levels.

Honestly, I think this is one of the few government organizations in this country that works and that does good work.

your license to kill doesn't include fish?

I nominate this as the best forum response ever.

No, the best forum response ever was when someone posted a thread saying "Don't you hate it when you're watching a movie with your parents and an explicit sex scene breaks out", to which the first reply was "between your parents or in the movie?"

That, sir, is the best response on the Internet.

Nice. Reminds me of when I was arrested for shaking a tree in a park because my frisbee was caught in the tree. The officer [off duty and out of state who called the local police] thought I was trying vandalize the tree.

Are you sure there wasn't any humping involved?

This reminds me of when my brother and his friend went snorkeling down in the Keys in FL and grabbed some lobster, they're both not fishers by any stretch but thought it was in season so got some.

Well it wasn't, it was the next weekend that the season started and of course some wildlife and game guy came up on them at the shore and looked in their pouches they put the lobster tails in (salt water lobster, all that's worth eating is the tail so you rip it off and leave the rest in the water for other creatures to eat). The way my brother told me, this guy was nearly in tears he was sooooo hurt and saddened by the "deaths" of the innocent lobsters that weren't in season and put on this huge scene. My brother said it was so over the top that he started to wonder if they were caught on some TV hidden camera show or something. As if that's not bad enough, the cop books them both and sends their asses to jail overnight, jumpsuits and all

I was laughing so hard at him for that one.

Reminds me of how I got a ticket for not wearing a life jacket when I was a kid. I was on the dock and had just stepped over into our boat. The lakes and wildlife officer came over and gave my dad a ticket. Kids 12 and under had to wear life jackets. I turned 13 the next day. We were docked! The ticket was over $100.

can't mi-6 fix this for you?

There are some things they simply cant fix. Bond will have to face up to his treasonous crimes of fishing without a license!

Recreational fishing...

In the second degree, even. I didn't know recreational fishing was such a heinous crime that it merited degrees.

Kinda makes you wonder what First Degree Recreational Fishing is. Premeditated with intent to scale? Is there Capital Fishing in your state too?
Possessing an endangered fish or over twice the legal limit will get you charged with First Degree Recreational Fishing.

make shure you sign up for jury duty while your down there. ya don't wana get slamed for that either.
