I came before the first post in the thread. Really. That's fvcking brilliant. Any other pearls of wisdom tonight?

Argh, goddamit you're right, but so is Skoorb. HTF do YOU compare the two, which is what Ace is asking in the first place?

I never started off comparing the two - I simply suggested that he take his bias against anything imported, stick it up his smokehole, and go test drive it anyways. 🙂

...take his bias against anything imported...

I don't think he would have gone off, if the salesman had offered a Supra or RX-7 to him. There's bias showing here alright, but it wasn't started by Ace.

It's simple. I have a great car that I love very much. The only car I would consider replacing it with or augmenting it with would be a 2001-2002 WS6 Trans Am with Ram Air. Not a Camaro, not a Ram Air Firebird, not a Mustang GT, not a WRX and surley not an Acura. I simply don't understand how the salesman made such an innane connection. I even turned my nose at a similarly priced GTO at their dealership. Turned down the test drive, just didn't care.

I think he would have, with the exception of maybe a TT Supra. Maybe. But even that's a Worthless Rice Burner "V6" (since who needs correct engine specs when you're a "h8r"?) that is unquestionably inferior to his Dream Car.

At this moment, I don't see why this thread even exists. If your heart is set on a particular car, comptuer part, etc, and you're not willing to even consider other options - why the hell ask?

How about you shave your mullet, shut up for a second, and give it a test drive to see if you like it?

Sounds about right 🙂

I'd take the RSX over the Firebird in a heartbeat!

Driving a RWD car like that in the winter in PA is nuts.

I was just puzzled that the dealer made that kind of connection- you guys gave this thread a life of its own 🙂

Then next time, don't refer to an RSX-S as a "rice burning fart box that probably costs more anyway" 😛

hey man, if you insist on viewing the trans am as the mullet mobile and the v6 mustang as a chick-only car, I demand that you suffer through my referring to the RSX-S as a "rice burning fart box that probably costs more anyway." I'll buy one when I have a b!tch bleeding me dry and 3 kids destroying my nerves and I need to get to work even in hurricanes, just to get away from the house....

At least the two I make are closer to the truth. T/A = Powered By Mullet, and even you admitted that the V6 'stang = chick car. 😉

A rice burning FWD four-banger it may be, but an RSX is not more expensive than a used T/A.

Nice combination there. Too bad she looks like a well used 17 year old slut.

Good luck finding the WS6. I love driving my 95 T/A. No mullet or confederate flags here and I have no problems driving it in the Wisconsin winters. Been through 5 now with the car.

I'd much rather have a reliable, tightly-built RSX-S than a huge, jiggly monster of a car like a WS6 Trans Am.

Do what you want though. As an experienced snow driver, I wouldn't drive ANYTHING in PA other than FWD.

I've got an RSX, I love it, pretty fast. Maybe it doesn't sound like a muscle car, but it sure retains its value. Plus most people where I live don't respect domestic cars. Trans ams suck, get the mustang if you want any muscle car.

RSX is boring, it doesn't really open up until you get really high up and by that time what's the point?

Engine has no balls either.

Get cams, intake and you can easily start pushing out 240 or so out of that engine. Throw a turbo on it and you can get almost 300 out of it.

I've seen several RSXs demolish muscle cars.. partly due to the fact that muscle car drivers think their cars are so much better.

The point is to keep it 'really high up' -- they rev high for a reason..

CR: you understand the concept of a manual transmission right?

Yes, but to me I'd rather have low end torque and power than have to get up to about 50mph to really feel the engine shine, not everyone lives near vast stretches of road without cops all over it.

Where did you pull that 50 mph out of your ass from?

As you shift gears you hit the RPMS where high torque comes from. There for it occurs at various speeds.
