So Powell makes a claim

Perfectly logical. Might be true

But I can't believe him. This administration has shown itself incompetent or a bunch of liars or both.

They cried wolf too many times, which is a shame. I wish I could trust their judgement.

Come on you 49% losers, face you're in the minority and obviously wrong.

If Powell says Iran is building WMD then it has to be true just like in Iraq.

Get with the program.

Where are the troops going to come from to invade Iran???

OH NOES!! Teh WMDs!!

?There's an old saying in Tennessee...There's a saying in Texas, maybe it's in Tennessee. Fool me once, Shame on...(3 second pause)...Shame on you....(pause)...Fool me...(pause)...You can't get fooled again."

60 million voters proved that wrong.

Ya, who the hell is going to believe this adminstrations "intelligence" reports after this whole Iraq mess and proven lies?

I'd like to think no one would, but I thought there was no way in hell we'd re-elect a proven liar who should be impeached for his lies and we did. 🙁

60 million voters proved stupidity is epidemic in America.

Maybe enough info for the UN to inspect.

It's going to take an outside agency to provide independently verifiable evidence to make a judgement on the accuracy of this claim. The batting average of this administration in terms of credibility regarding WMD's is something akin to .050. I wouldn't use them to pinch hit.

Ugh, here we go again.....

Ditto, I am getting really sick of this partsian mud slinging fest on P&N. It has gotten so bad that I dont even partcipate and can't read beyond the third post in most threads because it is nothing but partisan hate and egoism.

Well my OP has nothing to do with partisanship. What others do is their business. Mine is about track records.

I think the only thing keeping this administration out of Iran is the # of troops available, and the political repercussions of bringing back the draft.

Powell can claim all he wants. After the BS he spewed to the U.N, I'm inclinde to not believe him. I used to respect the man, but those days are long gone. Could he be right? Sure. But I'll be damned if I'm going to believe anything out of that mans mouth ever again in regards to WMD's or anything war related.

We are tired of all these "OMG" claims by Bush's Regime. They're all just like the little boy that cried "WOLF!", anymore - further exasperating those 1200+ patriotic American troops that died in vain for this Iraqi quagmire.

*YAWN*

Exactly. And by then, no one gave two sh*ts about the boy.

What's that tell you?

Precisely. That is a large part of the point. When credibility is gone based on real performance and the wolf finally shows up, it's not the fault of those who came to distrust the boy, but the boy himself.

Indeed.

What percentage of America's available forces are currently deployed overseas? Don't forget Afghanistan...
