You know, this is actually the second housemate I've had die in the past three years. First one was in college...about midway through the school year, his muscular distrophy finally caught up to him.

Maybe I should go live in the middle of the forest or something.

That's horrible. :( I can't begin to imagine how the husband has to feel... just about ready to come home from active duty and see his wife again. :(

This is the kind of stuff the "Russian Mafia" is known for. I wonder if she was into something she shouldn't have been, OR if she just happened to see something she shouldn't have seen...The cops and FBI find bodies in the lakes here in Nor Cal all the time that are suspected russian mafia hit victims from the L.A. area.

I'd imagine the Russian Mafia would be a tad more professional than sending a drunken guy named Conner Michael Schierman after them.

I'll be honest with ATOT, if that happened to me, I'd be suicidal... Such a sad thing to happen in this world, why do these people have to drag others into their own problems, why can't they just kill themselves in peace, and do the world a favor..

Truly a sad day, I feel for the guy.

Australia = ultimate rehab

We need another place like Australia where we can drop off the dregs of society. When criminals are forced to band together for survival, they reform themselves.

God usually does not directly interfere with our terrestrial world. And when he does, he usually takes the form of nature.

At least that is how Christians see it.

That is a sad story.

The guy was a druggie, and confessed to blacking out drunk over sunday night into monday, and waking up with blood on his hands. He admitted to setting the fire but not to the murders.

R.I.P.

I don't know how some people can crack jokes in such threads... like asking if she was hot? Come on guys, a girl is not just a peice of meat... show some respect. :disgust:

That may be true, but there has to be something seriously wrong with someone to kill 4 people like that, even if he was drunk. When I turned 21 I got drunk enough not to have a clear memory of the evening, but I certainly didn't hack up the neighbors.

Anyway, the whole thing is incredibly sad. The article had a picture of one of the kids - cute as a button, and now the victim of a brutal murder. :brokenheart:

good lord ... R.I.P.. what the hell is wrong with people!?

Good question, but this really made me rethink my stance of rehabilitation. Maybe we should just have a desert island somewhere where we can stick all the sex offenders, violent drug addicts, rapists, welfare queens, personal injury lawyers, and all the rest of the scum of society. Let them live in the cesspool they're comfortable with, and let the rest of us actually make something out of life.

im with you on this one. We need something like australia used to be.

the problem with rehabilitiation is it doesnt exist. we put criminals away and they come out worse than they went in.

I'm not usually a proponent of capital punishment, but this guy more than deserves it and I would have no problem making an exception for him. You've got to feel bad for the husband, who's overseas serving his country and has to come home to this. :(
