I was thinking the same thing. Sheesh, some people watch too many movies. Help your sister, perhaps, but "protect" her? Good luck with that.

Dude, PEACE the fvCK outta there - with your family of course.

Seriously, go to a hotel or something. Use cash if you're paranoid they can track Credit Cards. Just lay low.

Either you gotta take the offensive approach, and get a gat with some armor, or take the defensive and find yourself a cozy hotel.

Way too much drama here. You don't even have all the details and you're freaking out already? Calm down man. You're scared of something that isn't even happening.

Why wouldn't you get want to get caught in the middle of this? She's your sister! If my sister was in any kind of trouble, the first thing I would do is be by her side.

I love my sister, and would help her with most things, but I am not getting involved with a biker gang.

I have spoken to her and given her my advise, but I will not be involved in a war that I told her would come to her if she continued the lifestyle she was living.

Well, what are you gonna do? Hide at school for a year or two? Man up, go home, protect your family.

Protect them with my fists?

A lot of good that's gonna do when a gang is intent on getting to someone to keep them quiet.

The second I get involved I sign my own life away.

Would you like to live with yourself the rest of your life knowing you could have helped, but didn't? Some things are worse than death. Besides 90% chance nothing will happen anyways.

There's nothing I can do to help. The RCMP already know my sister is involved somehow, so I can't protect her any more than the RCMP can. The gang knows who my sister is, they know her phone number and they know where we live.

In other words, I'm going home tonight wondering if someone's gonna come through the door intent on killing my sister or even the whole family.

There's a 90% chance people don't get killed randomly. My sister knows something that happened last night. I'd say she's definitly a target to be silenced.

Could your family go to a friends/relative's house for the night? Try to remove yourself from any connection with these people?

My sister has no friends, and my mom's only family lives in Hamilton, Ontario. I haven't suggested they go there. I'll see what the RCMP say tonight.

That said, I can't leave. So yay for me...

Good, talk to the RCMP.

I would think about taking your mom and sister and vacating the house for a while. Maybe a hotel or something.

How old are you btw?

According to a report by Statistics Canada, Canada's homicide rate jumped in 2004 after reaching a 30 year low in 2003. Five of the nation's largest census metropolitan areas accounted for the majority of last year's increase. Winnipeg has the highest per-capita murder rate among the county's nine largest urban areas. Homicides by census metropolitan area per 100,000 population.

Winnipeg 4.89
Edmonton 3.39
Vancouver 2.58
Calgary 1.91
Toronto 1.80
Montreal 1.73

It's called Population control.

That's the problem. Most canadians don't have guns, that leaves them mostly defenseless!!!

The problem is when you ban guns you only stop the law abiding citizens from getting them. I will never give up my guns. Just thinking about knowing someone is breaking into my house and not being able to defend myself is horrifying. So get a gun and defend your sis!

Lol even Michael Moore knows better than that. Canadiens have twice the number of guns per captia than the US.

My sister and these 2 other girls went to pick up this guy and I'm short on details here, but the basic idea I've got is that this guy had a bag full of hand guns and a sawed off shotgun, there are stolen cars and quads, somebody is dead and this guy is apparently a high ranking drug dealer from a very promenant organized biker gang (that I will not mention).

Also, kind of off-topic, but I found this paragraph very amusing. Looks like the gun laws are extremely effective in Canada: keeping law-abiding citizens unarmed so that only criminals have access to them.

Umm... you can own firearms in Canada. You just have to register first, obviously with limitations.

What do you people expect him to do? He's supposed to defend his sister against a biker gang with guns when he has no weapons of his own? The only thing his defending her would do is increase the bodycount by one.

Just make sure that more than 4 mounties go to check out this guy's property and don't stay overnight to catch him in the morning.

I'd say lay low and make sure a phone is nearby, chances are if this guy is being tailed by the RCMP anyways he's got more important things to worry about than your sister

If you're referring to what I think you're referring to that's in really really bad taste.

Yeah, I guess it was. Bad time for irony. Sorry. It was such an embarassment that the higher-ups would do that to regular cops, but yeah maybe now isn't a time for that...

Have you gone to the RCMP for help yet? Being passive about this may not be the best option.

I don't get it...is it a canadian thing?

I think he is talking about you not going home to protect your family esp. your little or older sister who is probably even more scare than you are right now. And I think he is refering to you being a wuss and rather save your own skin not going home than being there when your family may need you. I think thats what he was saying.

No, get the keys to the Canadian Tank.
i have it. i used it to drive to Tim Horton's this morning - my car couldn't get through all the moose blocking the streets.

Damn. I wanted some coffee, but it would have been declared an international incident.
So...
You guys do a timeshare on that thing? That being said, I think I'd rather have a cotton candy machine for my next birthday party.

Sounds like a good plot for a movie. Something like, Revenge of the Biker Gang.

So who's gonna play Stefan, Seagal or VanDamme?
