I gotta say, Im very very impressed with this system overall. Ive played 360 before at friends houses etc... but after having it for a day and checking out Xbox live + the general 'feel' of the system, Im extremely happy. There are so many small things that just make this system awesome.

I went and bought Fight Night Round 3 since I knew I'd like that game and I rented Dead Rising and NCAA 07 (which Im disappointed in). Any other suggestions for games to get?

I was considering getting one of those Games N Flix type things where you can rent games online for a monthly fee, dunno if thats worth it though when I can d/l demo's of the games. Thoughts?

I'm still happy with my PS2 until the Wii comes out. I've got to get it for Zelda, but I just hope there's a decent amount of RPGs for the system. Nothing for the 360 has caught me eye in terms of RPGs, otherwise I would've picked one up. Meanwhile I have Xenosaga 3, Disgaea 2, and Tales of Legendia to play on the PS2. I'd really rather not put down money on the PS3 just to play some decent RPGs.

I've been hinting to my GF how much I would like a 360. It might end up being a Wii though since they're cheaper, we both like mario stuff, and are 480i.

Have you played Dragon Quest VIII yet? Sweet RPG.
There's supposed to be another one out in the launch window for the Wii.

Oblivion/Mass Effect

I played Oblivion for the PC. I'm not going to get a 360 when the lineup sucks in terms of RPGs.

With the PS2, just within the last month I've had 3 awesome RPGs, along with those that have come out previously. With the Wii, I have Super Smash Brothers, Mario Galaxy, and Zelda, not to mention what are traditionally decent RPGs for the system. So far, the 360 offers me nothing unique.

Naturally I got it the same time I got Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. One might say I'm an RPG fiend.

I got a 360 for the b-day from the woman. I totally love it. I've been pretty much a pc gamer for the last 5+ years, but damn sitting on the couch is nice. The graphics are also pretty darn good. Yes I love the keyboard/mouse but I think I might be able to give it up for the comfort of the couch. And the entire xbox live experience is amazing. Comparing me with my friends on live.xbox.com is just awesome.

meh after having mine since a week before launch, and playing probably 75% of the games on the 360, I'll admit i'm very underwhelmed with the system. I'm sick of ports and games that are out on both consoles that are obvoiusly just "upgrades" from a ps2 or xbox version. the ports (or duel developed on the PC at same time) and upgrades from ps2/xbox make up about 85% of the 360 library.

the system still has no killer app if you ask me.

Get uh...Table Tennis, Dead Rising(the megaman costume is crispy), Oblivion, Saints Row (yes, it really is a lot better than GTA) and Uno. Get Geometry Wars off of arcade too. Set a couple bucks aside for Castle Crashers when that comes out because it's going to be ridiculous.
