So my g/f got me a 360 for our anniversery...

I gotta say, Im very very impressed with this system overall. Ive played 360 before at friends houses etc... but after having it for a day and checking out Xbox live + the general 'feel' of the system, Im extremely happy. There are so many small things that just make this system awesome.

I went and bought Fight Night Round 3 since I knew I'd like that game and I rented Dead Rising and NCAA 07 (which Im disappointed in). Any other suggestions for games to get?

I was considering getting one of those Games N Flix type things where you can rent games online for a monthly fee, dunno if thats worth it though when I can d/l demo's of the games. Thoughts?

Saints Row.. hands down one of the best titles on the system..
test drive unlimited seems to be winning over more and more critics as well..

do yourself a favor and go buy one of the Cooler bases.. lots of 360s are dieing recently 3 red lights of doom seems to be spreading..

mine just went recently and purbeasts was about a month and a half ago.. thats 2 of us just from here.. and reports on the rest of the net arnt good..

aslo call M$ and GET THE GOOD WARRANTY!!!
I cannot emphasize this enough..

Def. buy the extended warranty; ours died in 30 days after new out of box.. luckily it was within the 90 day period. They said the error we got was 'very rare and unfixable' so they sent a new one.. only took 3 weeks :roll:

My brother's 360 also died 2 1/2 months in. Only took them a good 2-3 weeks to get us new one.

it sounds to me the correct course of action is to marry the girl, and put xbox360 games on your registry.

MS Offers a better warranty for 25 bucks that is good for a year.. (and longer) 90 days just isnt enough on these..

Install windows media connect or the new WMplayer beta 11 and enjoy streaming music and pics from your pc.

wow thats the one thing I loved about it...
I didnt love they gutted out the flag collecting.. the being able to name your coach.. and the same old commentaries from previous versions..

great football game and great grafics. but still felt like it was missing something

My wife bought my Xbox for me,.... :thumbsup:

As far as games,.. Dead Rising is great,.... DOA if you're into fighting games, I played the Saints Row demo and really enjoyed it. Also, I just picked up Test Drive Unlimted. It's fun but not nearly as deep as I thought it was going to be. Not bad for $40.
The wife loves Uno,.... and she is getting better at Texas Hold 'em.

If you sign up for Xbox Gold ($49 a year?) You can download a TON of demos, game clips, movie trailers,... music videos,... ect,..
The game demos are enough to keep you busy the first month alone.


And feel free to add me as a friend, NeoAaronX. You can catch me playing a lot of
TDU, Street Fighter II and Texas Hold 'em.

Will add ya tonight. I downloaded the G.R.A.W demo, lots of fun online! Very intense at times! Fight Night Round 3 is fun, just wish 95% of the people I fight weren't like 'ya, owned bitch wtf is up yatta yatta' all that trash talking, but oh well. Just unplug the headset :)


I like fighting games a lot, D/ling the DoA 4 demo right now, gonna see if I like it :)
