Little does he know that everyone whose exam is "missing" overslept on exam day and never actually took the final.

Next year everyone will have to do fill out the exam twice, just so he has a backup copy.

One of my English teachers last year was crazy, she actually gave grades like that. My friend and I would write essays that were no different in quality, but she liked me more so I would get an A---- and he would get a B++++.

An A- is NOT the same as an A. That said I'm taking the A-. There is no way in hell I could have gotten an A in that class.

As a teaching assistant I once spilled a beer on a term paper I was about to grade. It got an "A". I didn't even want to read it for fear I would regret my decision.

Now remember, don't drink and grade.

Have you ever graded tests before?! Drinking and grading practically go hand in hand.

I disagree.... I have nothing to backup the claim that I am about to make, but I'm going to claim it anyway:
The majority of quality colleges and universities have different GPA scores for an A-, A, and A+.

I had a related experience:
I once had a professor forget to come to the final exam! We were all there on time and waiting... we waited about 30 minutes. My college had a 15 minute policy: if 15 minutes goes by and the exam has not started, then it is canceled.

After 30 minutes a group of us walked to the prof's office... there he was in his sweat pans and a T-Shirt (he usually wore a suit). We said, "Were you going to come to the final exam?" He goes, "Yeah, but today is Saturday." He totally forgot about Friday and skipped straight to Saturday! He tried to say, "oh, let's go start the exam" but we all said no and that some of us had planes to catch in a few hours, etc. He ended up giving everyone an 'A' on the final!!!

The best part is that I didn't bother to study for the final and was just going to wing it... I figured I would have gotten a B or B+, but getting an A for no work was quite the surprise and the whole experience made for a legendary story that I passed on to other students in lower classes!

Eps.

Of the schools I've attended, one differentiated between A and A- (but did not have an A+), and the other three did not. I'd venture to say that most schools seem to be going away from the +/- system in general, but that's completely antecdotal.
