Count your blessings that he didn't decided to say that you didn't take your final exam like what happened to someone on ATOT before. I say take your "A-" and run!

One of my English teachers last year was crazy, she actually gave grades like that. My friend and I would write essays that were no different in quality, but she liked me more so I would get an A---- and he would get a B++++.

If an "A" and a "A-" are the same GPA wise, I'd say take the A-.

As a teaching assistant I once spilled a beer on a term paper I was about to grade. It got an "A". I didn't even want to read it for fear I would regret my decision.

Sucks for the people who did great on the final and counted on it to bring their grade up. But what the hell, does this happen often?

I disagree.... I have nothing to backup the claim that I am about to make, but I'm going to claim it anyway:
The majority of quality colleges and universities have different GPA scores for an A-, A, and A+.
