My buddy broke up with his gf last year, and was always telling me and my gf that he was lonely and wanted a gf. Now is is dating a 16 year old girl and they are "in love". I think he is just taking what he can get personally, but he thinks that dating someone still in high school is ok. Anybody else find this wrong?

It's a little strange, but doesn't bother me. If he was just going around banging all the 16 year olds he can find, that's something to worry about.

A very big problem indeed, I agree.

To the OP...
Your friend is, quite frankly, a fvcking idiot. Its one thing to play with fire and screw a 16 y/o when you 18, but this guy is dousing himself in gas and looking for matches. He's gonna wind up with his ass in the klink REAL soon if he aint careful.

I knew this guy that was in his early 30's. His girlfriend was 16. 2 years later, he moved to california to speak with her parents about marriage.

If it is legal .. well. ...

older men date younger girls that young because they have more control and feel in control. They have flaws that other women will spot but 16 year old girls will miss.

Looks like you need to reevaluate who you choose to be your friend.

he has been my friend since 5th grade :(

Well then he should respect you as a friend right, and take your advice seriously. You should let him know that it's a little "screwy" for him to be messing around with someone so much younger.

?? Bro if you are 25 and you need to pick up 16 year old girls I would be doing you a FAVOR by turning you in. Seriously grow a set and meet girls closer to your own age.

qft.

Does your friend really think he'll spend the rest of his life with this person?

If not then he is just out for the young, impressonable, immature snatch. It is so easy for someone your friends age to manipulate these young girls and while it may have been somewhat fun and still not ok when he was 18. Now that he is older it shouldn't be happening.

If he's banging her...that should land him with a sex offenders mark and a little time in jail.

I only hope the girl has a brother and he is as pissed off as I would be.

Who knows what the quality of their relationship is. Perhaps they are soul mates. At 16, you are old enough to decide who you want to fvck.
