its not that fun.

too much in game cinematic BS. lots of time spent 'walking around doing plot BS' compared to running around shooting bad guys

the 'offensive' level, was just plain LAME.

baddies spawn all over the goddamn place, including right next to you on some levels.

I cant beleive I was so jaded @ Treyarch, yeah World at War had its issues, but it wasnt game content related. it was sloppy patches and no new content for the PC. I'd rather have to change my audio settings to get sound when I patch the game, than want to never touch it again like I do MW2

If MW2 is a 9.5 like all those suck up reviews that I have seen say, then W@W is a 11.

Heh, my idea was the SP campaign is basically to have a place for the cinematics they use for the commercials, that's why it's so short. LOL

I remember just a few years back when people were up in arms that Max Payne 2 was only 10 hours long.

Now we're down to 5-6 hours for SP, I guess this is a new milestone. Sure MP didn't have multi-player but it seems the bar is being continually lowered.

bleh video gone; activison claimed copyright. I didn't get to see it but I'm going to guess it embarrassed them. This is definitely one game I will never purchase :)

And thus why I don't MP [on servers which allow this kind of crap to happen].

No this just gives them more reason to stray from PC gaming all together, the fact that PC gamers can cheat and console gamers can't.

i remember there being loads of halo2 cheats.

You can beat Super Mario Bros in 5 minutes if you want to. That doesnt mean everyone will. Some people blow thru games, just to beat them, and not really enjoy them.

Borderlands is about 20 hours for SP play. Of course you can go thru it again (game is different when you do), and with different classes for even more play time.

And I put a working link in the original post. Left the old one just because.

You can't make recordings either, so how can you have proof if you try to report someone for hacking?

CoD is really targeted at people interested in multiplayer. The way I see it, single player is just a free game tacked on.

Well 5-6 hours is about the average, I'm slow and we'll see how long it takes me to complete it. Ideally, FPS's should be 15-20 IMHO.

I just don't buy the argument that people are only interested in MP for this title or the previous. The ONLY reason I bought MW1 was because of the strong single player experience. MP was fun for a little while but not my primary concern.

I know this isn't the case for others, but I doubt very highly that I'm the only one who feels this way.

Sort of ot, but why do people want to cheat at something that gets you nothing. It really makes no sense. I can understand it in a game where you can sell stuff on ebay like a mmorpg, but this really seems like a waste of time for everyone involved.

To spite Activision/IW?

Youtube took the video down...Streissand effect, maybe.

I've only ever hacked in one game, Combat Arms. Played it with a few friends here and there whenever EVE was down or we got bored of it. Started hacking when 1/4 of the players did. Hell, there were invulnerability hacks, jump 3 stories hacks, chams, aimbots, etc. It was easy to tell. Pretty much stopped playing after invulnerability hacks became common. heh.

Excluding Aimbots, I'm more worried about the less obvious hacks like softened or no rocoil, wall hacking, 24/7 uav, and glow skins.

Been playing a lot of MW2 lately and the multi is much much better than MW1. Matchmaking makes life so much easier, no more hunting through endless lists of servers running completely different settings/mods. For some reason people hate on the idea of matchmaking but it's ideal for casual gamers like myself, provided you have a good connection.

Hardcore types will definitely prefer dedicated servers though and I understand and agree with their frustration, but for typical pub gamers like myself the matchmaking is a god-send. It just makes everything so much easier.

Lag has been non-existent in most cases, too. I have a pretty good connection though (35MB down/5MB up) and rarely lag in any games, fortunately!

It's pretty bad now. Hackers everywhere. ESP, assisted aiming, and full blown autobotting. If you suck at the game you likely wont see them because it actually matches all the bots together (cause they're so good).

I haven't seen any blatant hacking, but I haven't been playing too long (only level 18). I don't doubt that they're out there, there was one guy going 25 - 2 every round in one session but beyond that, I haven't seen much.

Wait until you reach level 45+ and the matchmaking system starts putting up against tougher players. It was night and day for me once I reached a certain level.

Oh I am SO stealing that graphic!

I too play only SP, probably too old and slow to survive on line.

I know that feeling. I only played much online in MW1. I like that there were maps with lots of players so that I could kind of just blend in. I also found a server that I liked that banned bad language, insults, cheating, etc. and the players seemed to be good sports.
That is all gone for MW2. I tried a few games and hated the matchmaking and small number of players in the games.
Actually, a bit off the subject, but even most RTS games online are brutal also. Either hackers or a lot of awfully good players.
