I told my coworker I shop at a fish store on Franklin Blvd and Martin Luther King Jr Blvd.

He says "So it isn't run by asians then"
I say "No, it is run by asians"
He says "But that is a ghetto black neighborhood"
I say "I don't see any residential around it"
He says "No No, that is were all of the ghetto blacks shops are"
I say "Well this shop is run by asians"
He says "oh"

So does his comment sound racist to you?

i dont think it was racist.... he was just intrigued that asians ran a business in a predominately black neighborhood....whether it's a ghetto or not is irrelevent.
