How long? It's such bullshit that you get house arrest for less than a year when you run people over while chatting on your cell phone, yet it seems that "crimes" like these get you in a much worse situation.

That's ridiculous to be sent to prison for such a period of time when he didn't hurt anyone, and had no intentions of hurting anyone.
 
wow, 7 years...does he have a record? were the cops searching his place for something else and then found the gun?
