This one.
And people should care, diving can be very dangerous.
Seriously though, given how crappy some drivers are, you should have headlights on so they can see you, that way when they crash into you, at least you can say "You saw I was there".

I was driving last night during the blizzard in Wisconsin, and I saw a car going the opposite direction, but on the wrong side of the road :-X

Hey, I think that was me. ;)
Anyways, I always turn on my head lights in bad weather or when it gets a little dark out, so others can see me. On the other hand, there are some drivers out there who drive around with their high beams on blinding everyone else.

By my house. 5 accidents. Apparently people in Explorers love to drive fast in heavy snow. YES EXPLORERS

So, wtf do the people need headlights for? Last I checked, there's no oncoming traffic on an interstate. Thus, the headlights that you see shouldn't be of any concern to you whatsoever. Now, the cars that are ahead of you... you don't see their headlights, do you? AND, if you *really* were in blizzard conditions, you would realize that headlights make visibility for the driver worse. (try turning your highbeams on at night in a blizzard... you may as well just close your eyes.) In fact, I have seen occasions where you can see 3/4 to a mile at night on the interstate with your lights OFF, but couldn't see 100 feet with them on.

Because taillights only turn on with the headlights. Rearending idiots sucks.
