Get some good russian beer from a world market.

Baltika (higher numbers porter, lower is lager.) They are all good.

Golden Barrel is even better if you can find it.

I like pyramid Hefe (clean but heavy)

Try Dead Man's Ale (forgot the name of the brewer).

Cruel, cruel man! 😀

Harp is quite good. So is Boddington's (expensive, though) and New Castle Brown Ale.

The one's I buy on a regular basis:
St. Pauli Girl
Foster's Special Bitter (tastes better imo)
Pilsner Urquell
Red Hook IPA and ESB
Stone Brewery IPA and Arrogant Bastard (strong)
Whatever happens to be on sale and looks good

sometimes:
Heineken (Urquell tastes similar but better)
Guiness
Bass
Pete's Wicked (named after me!)
Pyramid Hefeweizen

When broke:
Coors Lite Water
Mickey's 40
MGD (blech)

Avoid like the plague:
Anything made by Ann Heuser's Bush😛
Steel Reserve...death in a can. You will hork if you drink it.

So which is best to try: Bass, Harp, or Guinness? I've been trying to decide between which of the 3 to try first lately.

You cant compare these because they are of different types of beer. anybody who says otherwise is a fool. it comes down to what STYLE you like the best--brown ales for me--but i prefer guinness out of those 3.

i say get the 500ML bottles and try them all 😀

I don't know where everybody gets the idea that Guinness is strong! Dark does not always mean strong. Guiness is around 4% alc. I believe.

Anyways I suggest any type of Hefeweizen, maybe Pyramid, with a squeeze of lemon. Very smooth, not bitter. Hef is an unfiltered wheat beer so it'll look cloudy.

Yeah it is 4% something. I dunno, it doesn't seem any stronger to me by taste, but I think it affects me more.
