im just in shock because ive never been fired before. it was by far my favorite company to work for, i was paid well for my position i felt, and was 5 minutes away from work, had the best boss i ever had. in fact i moved to this area just to be closer to here. i hate doing this desktop crap and was studying to work on my mcsa/msce, and was hoping to get a promotion by the end of next year if possible. i just feel like everything ive worked for the past year at the place has been flushed down the toilet and now i gotta start from ground zero. i really want to work for a company that can offer opportunites for advancement. well if anyone in the los angeles area knows of any openings let me know.

I have to take exception with what you said at the end of your post though. You have experience now, sure you made a mistake, but you can take that and learn from your mistake. It will make you a better employee for your next job. I would definitely try to look at the positives and not focus on the negative.

I have been fired a couple of times. Once for being an insolent fvck and once through a "restructuring". Never fun especialy in times like these. If I can offer ANY advice it is get your unemployment paperwork done ASAP and get your job search started with a bang. The longer you are unemployed, the harder it is to find work.
