The funniest thing is, Saleen doesn't even dual exhaust catbacks for the Focus. It's just a pieced together car. Probably stock under the hood

I was coming up to a stopsign . . and it was just coming through towards me. I saw the Saleen sticke . . and thought "that doesn't look like a mustang"

when it got closer I burst out laughing . . . and I didn't really almost kill myself, but you get the idea.


and I think if you put a saleen sticker, giant spoiler, and dual fartpipes on a Focus, you deserve anything that comes your way. Yes, that includes flaming poop and bullets. . . well, not bullets, not quite . . . .

I know Steeda and SVT do Foci but I havent heard about Saleen. Actually the SVT version handles INSANELY well. It just needs more power and would be a neat sleeper to go with my '03 Cobra.

They don't make any production versions....just parts for it. Yea it's too bad SVT can't drop a turbo and some AWD in it like the RS in Europe....that's one bad mofo.

I pulled up next to a ZX3 Focus the other day with gauges all over the A pillar, plus the whole 9 yards of rice (so the gauges could have been fake for all I know) and the dude driving it had a huge fro with the pic in it and everything.

My car comes from the factory with a supercharger and I dont have the A-pillar guages. They'd be cool but that might give away the "sleeper effect" that the '03 Cobra has. Most of the people I take out in the car get scared when they hear the supercharger whine before. "WTF was that sound?!"

Mine is turbocharged but has the boost guage in the dash, and I don't fool with it so I don't really need fuel pressure or mix gauges. And if you drive an '03 Cobra, there's not much sleeper to be had.

You'd be surprised at how many people don't know what a 03 Cobra has under the hood. Or what a Cobra is for that matter.

For less than $2K in mods you can hit low 11's or high 10's depending on your ability. Mines not very modded. I'll take the 400rwhp and full factory warranty for now Most people know nothing about it and the ones that do seem to respect it. Every once in awhile someone will say "it needed a supercharger to compete"

I suppose that's really a relative statement...to compete with the Z06 is maybe what they mean, since the prices are pretty close if I remember correctly.

Uh, no. Cobra runs $35K msrp. Regular Corvette runs about $37k base, Z06 well over $50K. The Z06's main advantage in terms of speed is that it weighs about 3100lbs without driver, whereas a Cobra weighs something like 3800lb without driver. A Cobra can beat a normal Vette easily, and will normally lose by about 1-2 car lengths with equal drivers

Ya, probably stock. I work at a sign shop and do you know how easy it would be to make your own Saleen stickers for any kind of car? Hell, in 20 minutes, I could deck out my '95 Grand Prix SE with a "looks-like-a-real" Saleen sticker across the front windshield, and whatever else I want. Just gotta get the measurements. No matter what make or model car. For a person to come in a buy this stuff.......$50 at most.
