it was green, had the Saleen thinger in the top of the windsheild, and had dual fartpipes in the middle in the back . . .

. . and a spoiler.

Did I mention that I almost killed myself 'cause I was laughing?
 
The funniest thing is, Saleen doesn't even dual exhaust catbacks for the Focus. It's just a pieced together car. Probably stock under the hood 🙂

I was coming up to a stopsign . . and it was just coming through towards me. I saw the Saleen sticke . . and thought "that doesn't look like a mustang"

when it got closer I burst out laughing . . . and I didn't really almost kill myself, but you get the idea.


and I think if you put a saleen sticker, giant spoiler, and dual fartpipes on a Focus, you deserve anything that comes your way. Yes, that includes flaming poop and bullets. . . well, not bullets, not quite . . . .
 
I know Steeda and SVT do Foci but I havent heard about Saleen. Actually the SVT version handles INSANELY well. It just needs more power and would be a neat sleeper to go with my '03 Cobra.

They don't make any production versions....just parts for it. Yea it's too bad SVT can't drop a turbo and some AWD in it like the RS in Europe....that's one bad mofo.
 
I pulled up next to a ZX3 Focus the other day with gauges all over the A pillar, plus the whole 9 yards of rice (so the gauges could have been fake for all I know) and the dude driving it had a huge fro with the pic in it and everything.
 
My car comes from the factory with a supercharger and I dont have the A-pillar guages. They'd be cool but that might give away the "sleeper effect" that the '03 Cobra has. Most of the people I take out in the car get scared when they hear the supercharger whine before. "WTF was that sound?!"
 
A guy at work has a BMW Legend. Not an Acura Legend, but a BMW legend. It's got the BMW bumpers, logo and a blue color specific to BMWs. Retarded, as if an Acura Legend is not a nice car itself.

Mine is turbocharged but has the boost guage in the dash, and I don't fool with it so I don't really need fuel pressure or mix gauges. And if you drive an '03 Cobra, there's not much sleeper to be had. 😉

You'd be surprised at how many people don't know what a 03 Cobra has under the hood. Or what a Cobra is for that matter.
 
For less than $2K in mods you can hit low 11's or high 10's depending on your ability. Mines not very modded. I'll take the 400rwhp and full factory warranty for now😉 Most people know nothing about it and the ones that do seem to respect it. Every once in awhile someone will say "it needed a supercharger to compete"

I suppose that's really a relative statement...to compete with the Z06 is maybe what they mean, since the prices are pretty close if I remember correctly.

Uh, no. Cobra runs $35K msrp. Regular Corvette runs about $37k base, Z06 well over $50K. The Z06's main advantage in terms of speed is that it weighs about 3100lbs without driver, whereas a Cobra weighs something like 3800lb without driver. A Cobra can beat a normal Vette easily, and will normally lose by about 1-2 car lengths with equal drivers

Ya, probably stock. I work at a sign shop and do you know how easy it would be to make your own Saleen stickers for any kind of car? Hell, in 20 minutes, I could deck out my '95 Grand Prix SE with a "looks-like-a-real" Saleen sticker across the front windshield, and whatever else I want. Just gotta get the measurements. No matter what make or model car. For a person to come in a buy this stuff.......$50 at most.
