Reinstalled the other day.

Movement feels super slow, and jumping seems very cartoonish (think mario). Will take a while to get used to, but it's a lot uglier than I remember.

increase FOV to make movement feel faster

BF3 just plain stunk imo. While I did have some good games, the vast majority of the time it was two large groups by a chokepoint throwing grenades at each other while people dropping ammo packs gained large amount of experience. Terrible. The open maps were great, but too few of them. Didn't even bother watching a video of BF4, let alone buy it.

I'm glad someone else feels the same.
DICE is getting none of my money after the disaster BF3 was.

I have over 1000 play time hours in BF2...it makes me sad with what they have done to one of my favorite franchises.:'(

I'm not talking about beta...

I haven't played COD since the original came out.

Well, in that case I'll just have to completely disagree.

Maps are not cramped, certainly not the conquest maps. The rush maps are smaller but need to be, there's an objective and players need to be channeled towards it. Yes, there are some chokepoints. That's why you need teamplay to get past them.

Claiming rush mode is 'campy' is just silly. It only means you've been playing on a bad team. Rush isn't called rush for nothing. You need to push to win.

And about LMG's being op, weapons have been rebalanced a lot since the beginning. If there are any op weapons it would be the M416 assault riffle, the UMP45 smg and possibly the USAS/Saiga semi-auto shotguns (debatable, you need to get close first).

Is BFBC2 controller support? It didn't say so on Steam and Origin.

I reinstalled this over the weekend, it's been pretty fun, I've played bf3 and 4 but couldn't get into it.

Agreed, hit detection is pretty 50/50 but the game is solid. I've been playing Insurgency recently but I've been thinking about BC2. BF3 and BF4 were pretty big let downs.

Yeah this game is great to play still,i find myself randomly going from BF4 to BF3 then to BC2 depending on the mode.I have added BO2 to the rotation but each game does have its own mode that keeps me in the game.

BF4 is fun for conquest,BF3 is great for Domination, gun master and scavanger,BC2 was great for rush but when i want a mess TDM in BO2 or just the map Canals in BF3 can be fun.I love TDM on small maps so BO2 and BF3's Canals has suddenly started taking much more of my time.

The biggest problem with BC2 is magnum ammo (and to a lesser extent body armor). As I've only recently begag playing BC2 for the first time, every time I get killed by someone using magnum ammo it feels extremely unfair. Neither BF3 nor BF4 had as huge a design flaw as that - although they both still had other, less prevalent flaws.
