when did it become commonplace for parents to pick up their little precious artists after school?

its a artsy fartsy high school for the arts...but it turns my street into grand central station every single day. Why can't they hop on the cities transit system..its right there in front of the school? I literally am locked into my apartment from 3-4 pm everyday...worst part is...i'm not seeing any hot chicks thru all this bullshit.

I love beer.

I'm just a little frustrated with all the traffic every single morning/afternoon. I can't even imagine back in my day someone driving me to high school...seems so ridiculous.

Parents don't use the transit systems themselves, where it even exists, so I don't think they would trust their kids with it. Does the school not have their own buses? I'm assuming it is a public school here.

its a legit high school with easy transit available...but you got all these fuckers parked up and down the street waiting for their angels to come to them...it is super bizarre is all I can say.

So you are going from hitting on 21 year olds with booze and drugs to high school kids?

Oh, okay. Where I come from, you either A) rode the school bus, B) had your parents pick you up, or C) drove yourself when you were finally old enough. Public transit.....is a joke. C was preferable, B merely embarrassing, but A is typically avoided at all cost because of the un-airconditioned, poorly heated cheese wagons that may or may not stop anywhere near you.

Creepy or not, he's not wrong. I drove a school bus for a few years, and the lengths parents will go to avoid having their child walk even fifty yards (regardless of age) are simply retarded. They'll be sitting in gridlock around the school and will try to muscle in on a school bus. They'll wait an hour to get in and spend another hour trying to get out of the school's neighborhood. There is no limit to their stupidity.

Yeah, some are "speshul snowflakes" like that. All it takes is one parent trying to do their own thing in a school's laid out traffic pattern to slow things down for everyone. What I never got is why, when a parent has two kids, would let one drive to/from school while the parent would be picking up the other one to take home AT THE SAME TIME.

Are you locked in your apartment during school pick-up hour because of a court order?

hot chicks?! God sakes man, they're in HIGH SCHOOL!:fearscream::neutral:
Remember that the school is there to teach young minds and clearly what mayne plans on doing will be very educational for some of them.

This is a form of education that they will remember forever and will have real world usefulness.

I live near a school too, and it's same deal. It's amazing the amount of energy and resources that go into a single day, and this is repeated every single day. All those SUVs and pickup trucks idling etc. It's like a huge production. I avoid any kind of possibility of having to drive on my street between 3:00 and 3:30.

You thought they were hot when you were in high school right? Just because you realize they are naive and annoying now doesn't make them any less hot.

Do you live in the ghetto? I know sometimes magnet schools end up in bad parts of town for unknown reasons. Maybe the parents are doing a better job at danger assessment than you can.
