So, I broke up with my girlfriend

Example of this independant women you speak of. My current girlfriend says to my mother, I'd just like you to know I had sex with your son 4 times in one night last week we were safe about it and we have sex all the time but we're also wondering if you dont mind us getting an apartment together in April....

But on topic.....just wait a bit man I was like you 19 thought I found the love of my life til she broke my heart. But I've got me a new gal and she's the damn best thing that happened to me, independant, smart, funny, cute, and she works in the hospital thats right next to mine....just give it time you'll find the right one
 
Dude, lose her, it's totally not worth it. You can find another beautiful, fun girl that won't give you all the crap. Believe me, they're out there, even though it may not seem like it. No amount of ass is worth putting up with a high maintenence girl, and it will only get worse as the relationship goes on and she gets used to leaning on you as a crutch (read - b*tching constantly).

It doesn't have to be that way, there are plenty of girls out there that have everything she was, without the insanity. Don't torture yourself.

PS - I speak from experience, had a girl just like that, totally high maintenance, hot temper, cried, etc. But she was pretty and could be nice/really sweet. However, I finally got tired of it and broke up with her. Without even looking for it, I met another girl, even prettier and cooler than the first, and minus all the emotional bullsh*t.

Keep looking man, there are other fish in the sea.

people can be great physicists with bad grades. no one can be a neurosurgeon with bad grades. not anyone. not even einstein, because they wouldn't accept him to their residency program. the grade requirements to be a neurosurgeon are insane, unbelievably competitive.

What about neuroscience? That's more psychology based than neurosurgeons(neurologist?).

Yeah no sh*t. She's 17. You're 19. For one thing, your sexual relationship is illegal in most states. Second, SHE'S SEVENTEEN!!! WTF is this marriage crap?!

You need to speed up your hit-and-runs or you'll never get through college.
 
Haha! Well...she told me she was 18 (she was on friendster and you kinda gotta be 18 to be on there...but she lied.) She turned 18 like 5 months ago.

All said and done, ATOT kicks ass.

I am a really nice guy, im wiling to put up with a lot. But i cant take this, i cant live my life this way. I broke up with her, kinda, I said I wanted to lower the seriousness of our relationship ( the leading questions of forever, marriage, and what not.) SO i put ourselves on a break...

btw, she's going to be a neurosuergoun, she somehow handled her ****** and got a 3.7 GPA, i did poorly and -2.0 (im not that disciplined)

But honestly, what is she going to do when something realllllllllllllllly bad happens (when I should be there for her 10,000% like losing a limb, parents dying being dyagnosing with caner) She cries when her mom makes her mad.



Cliffs, broke up with a girl, looking for ATOT to tell me that its allright to want a girl that extremely independant but you can still baby them.

haha, first relationships are always the hardest man. after your first real heartbreak/breakup you begin to see relationships in a whole new light.

my last ex was prob. the exact opposite of your gf, but she was so independent and secretive that I didn't know wtf was up with her half the time. anyways, if your in college I highly suggest you get out of serious relationships ASAP and start having lots and lots of sex with many women.

neuroscience is not nearly as difficult to get into. neurosurgery isn't really about being smart. it's pure ambition. i'm not saying people can't get into neurosurgery because they aren't smart enough. just saying you need crazy grades because it's a very competitive field.
