glad you're ok but LOL, that car is TOTALED! is it fuel injected? if so you're probably going to need to replace the ECU at the very least. even then i have a feeling you'll have all sorts of electrical problems in the future. but if you really want to try and keep it clean that interior out the best you can. take all the seats and carpeting out and hose them down, then let them dry in the sun. even they it still may stink really bad.

Write the car off and get a new one OREO, you might be able to get it running, but soon wires and electrical connections will start to corrode. It will become an electrical system nightmare, impossible to trace where a problem is coming from. Not to mention having to replace the entire interior will cost more than the car is worth.

we stripped out all the seats and most of the interior, I'm thinking about putting in new seats from a junk yard so the smell won't be as bad.. this will only be a temporary solution until I can save enough money to buy another car. A few friends and I worked on it for a few hours today and we made a lot of progress.. we're working on it tomorrow too (if it doesn't rain) so I will update with pics on the status of it.

Drain and flush the auto transmission throughly.
I went into a 3 ft deep puddle in Jan. and the dealer failed to properly flush the transmission.
I just got the truck back from my buddies shop after replacing it.
A $150.00 service that wasn't done could have saved me an $1100.00 replacement job.

Wow, that would have been scary as hell. Glad you got out okay. This reminds me of about a couple months ago. There was a pretty bad snow. I drive about 45 min. to school everyday and I swear on my way to school I counted at least 50-60 cars in the ditches. This was in about 35 miles of highway. That was some crazy sh1t.
