Granted, your aspirin/advil/tylenol/etc and ambien may resemble each other than the examples here but again, I think it's a sign of bigger problems if you don't even know what you are taking. I saw the post about putting the bottles in different parts of the house, but, still I wonder.

Again, it wasn't a matter of the pills looking alike, it was a matter of force of habbit kicking and thinking about 10 things at once as I reached into the medicine box. Just wasn't paying attention and I subconsciously did what I normally do when I reach in for medicine: I grabbed the bottle of Ambien.

I just tried an ambien today. I didn't try to sleep while I was on it.. and I felt perfectly normal for the first two hours. After two hours, I got a little dizzy, and my eye coordination was very off, like I was seeing two of everything. I was kinda wobbly when I walked. But I didn't feel too drowsy.
IMO, two benadyl pills work better if you want to sleep. I once took two when my allergies were really bad in my chem class, not thinking about the drowsiness sideffects. My entire body felt really light, and I felt semi numb. Major downer.
That said, I'm off to take two benadryl's right now :)
