so how do we feel about the moderators moderating publicly instead of anonymously moderating as Anandtech Moderator?

I honestly think that it helps as far as accountability goes for the mods, but it took away the 'character' of the moderation. We all miss the kinky mod.

The Anonimod was a better system IMO. It was pretty reasonable to deduce the OT mods and I really only come in here and Console Gaming with very rare traipses into General Hardware. The old system offered a lot of chances for comedy and the mods hit it out of the park about 80-90 percent of the time. It seems as though the individual mods have kind of toned that down a bit which is a little disappointing but whatever.

It seems to have worked out for the best so far. There seems to be a lot less animosity between the mods and the plebs since it was implemented, which I attribute in part to the clear and public rules set out at the time of the changeover.
