what do these type of people do for a living? or aspire to be? i've been down in the dumps before, and even then i don't think i could've done what the OP did. i guess it says a lot that the OP's grandparents partook in the spoils.

lol

I do!!!
Some people on these forums actually know the difference between right and wrong and refuse to dabble in the gray areas!

Man you give them a glass of milk and then they want the whole fucking cow.

This reminds me of a story about a $100 (i think) off coupon that this car dealership had in I think phone books. A lady decided it would be a great idea to go around to each phone booth in the city and cut out the coupon. Thousands of cut out coupons later, the lady goes to the dealership and picks out a car. When it came time to pay she pulls out a bag containing the coupons and hands it over to the salesman. Of course they refused at first, but upon further inspection no where did the coupon say "limit 1 per person." In the end the lady drives off with her free new car.

LOL @ the OP's "home theater system" probably got those free after 20 coupons too.

But I bet it was white and a stripped down model with a standard transmission, crank windows, no A/C and an AM radio. But hey, free is free!

Or maybe bilking the system and selling shit on eBay *is* his "job".

On the coupon: "Void if copied, transferred, and where prohibited by law. Any other use constitutes fraud."

VOID, what part of void do some of you not understand? This is clearly fraud. Which is clearly illegal.

The OP copied this coupon many many times which made it fraudulent.
So, he got one over on Sears, what a hero.

No, I do not work for Sears, but someone taking advantage of a retailer like that, especially one that is in financial trouble as it is, makes me sick.

Oh and I love it how the OP posts this crap and never returns to rebuke anything that's been said.

Unfortunately for us who actually find good deals, people like this loser ruin it for all of us. I'm sure he has a job, but its most likely selling his scammed items on ebay for a 3% profit. Not much of a job if you ask me.

So I was bored and read some of the posts on fatwallet on this deal. What a bunch of trashy people they have over there. I'm all for a good deal, but some people take it way too far, especially for random crap that they don't even need. And then when they get any trouble from the Sears employees they complain and cause a scene. Good job on your "spoils of war" OP!

Here's an example of the quality posts over there! They have good posting skills!
Okay so i went to sears today to use the coupon.....the worst experience ever. I gave it to the guy in front of me.....as a tester....lol no problems. I get there and the girl doesn't want to ring me up. I do have a bag full of tools but quite a few people with me as well so I wouldn't call it abuse or anything. Anywho, I said, I have a lot of tools and a lot of coupons, can you let me know how you would like me to do these.....completely scared...she calls a manager....wtf.....this coupon justed worked well with the other guy. I said I don't understand whats the problem. She said I'm not supposed to ring up tools. You have to go to the tools department...NO WAY...I was just there and asked the guy if I could shop around....he said no problem...he did tell me that I couldn't use both the 15% and the coupon...oh well but he says use the coupon and I say okay but I am going to use the bag since I don't have a cart and I can walk around the store. I am standing at the register...no kidding 30 minutes....wft...she still won't ring, has called a mangaer...don't know what to do....I'm not moving or anything becuase now its about principal. On top of that I have other things I would like to purchase...so I continue to cooperate with them....no manager comes over and she's just waiting clueless....okay........now were looking at 45 minutes....the guy who orginally helps me comes over and they say 1 per person....ummmm NO....I coupon pretty regularly that coupon is not per purcahsed call corporate and they argreed....I said I have 4 kids with me....they can all do transactions.... In total I had 14 items...some would be doubled...i don't think so.....do what you have to do....so get this....I am ringing up the apparel and notice the sign that says......15% if you use your sears card....thinking oh great....I'll just really make out and use the card.......I go to pay and I didn't see the additional....well that's wierd...so I ask and she's like what???? I show her the sign and she says...oh nope thats old....and you can't get that....I laughed her....cause really if I hadn't already been waiting, if she hadn't treated me like a &*)*)*)....then I would have said okay......NOPE....Its posted and you will honor.....so AGAIN....she calls for a manager...I said better yet call corporate...btw....I've asked 3 times already and they refuse to call from their phone.....i call on my cell phone and the gal says, NO they have to honor it.... she said as a matter of fact....they have to honor the 15% and the $5 coupon and the 10%.....holly cow...I didn't want all that....so they start trying to figure it out in their heads and agree....then finally after 47 minutes a manager comes over (FROM THE WOMAN'S DEPARTMENT) and says no they won't do that. I thought that was a bit much too but hey I said well you will do the 10%.....just for prinicpal in addition to the coupon....she adds her two worthless cents for about another 20minutes....and they start to roll......I really didn't plan out my runs well.....I bought tools that were $4.99. I didn't expect to have any problems this is SEARS.....so some things I just doubled up on cause I got them for the hubby...soo all in all....i don't know what I bought but spent 1hr 37 min for bad service. Anywho, I'm left with calling their customer service number I got what I wanted but shouldn't they have a better plan in place for coupons....this place used to have a lot of theif so there is only 3 registers in the store...the gal kept saying she will get in trouble if she rings me up but gave the other guy no problem...then she said the coupons aren't real and copied....come on now....whats the next excuse...the craftsman customer service verified the coupon but still I'm waiting.....ugggghhhh sears....I'll plan better for tomorrow!

I disagree with taking advantage of the coupon like the OP is bragging about. However, despite the assertion that someone copied a coupon meant for a small audience and published it, it's worth noting that the coupon was hosted on the Sears website itself.

The exact reception i was hoping for! Now that i think about all this, i have some regrets. I really need 4 more machetes, 8 more scythes, and the rest of the epoxy. (The two machetes i got are in the car). Do i care? No because Sears/Kmart are terrible. I never go there because i'd rather go to walmart/lowes/homedepot. They have better stuff and better prices. I can find better clothes at the swap meet than at sears. Once i was with a friend looking at the shirts. They were displayed in square plexiglass. They all looked terrible, except one was all white and said $21 Mens Tee. We both agreed that was the best looking shirt until we realized it was the sign on a piece of paper made in Word. Yep typing text in word looked better than anything they could offer.

Seriously Kmart/Sears has the most retarded marketing department. Before this, they had a coupon where they offered a $10 gift card if you bought batteries and 2 items. So you spend $7 and get $10 back, and use the gift card again. guess how much batteries i got. On top of that i returned the batteries and actually made money. Bravo Sears Holding Group.

And in response to Aimster, you win this! :

At least one. My morals and ethics are worth more than a few dollars. Many of you will understand that better when you get older and/or when you have children who you know follow your example.

Yup, I bought a ton of stuff at Target including a potty chair for my daughter. I got home and looked at my reciept before filing it and it wasn't on there, so I went back the next day and paid for it. They were somewhat confused, but having a conscience isn't a bad thing. A few years ago, I may not have done that, but I'm grown up now.

Another thing - I seriously doubt anyone will be going to this guys house for a Superbowl party. Unless you like to sit a foot away from the TV and risk having a boombox fall on you. He'd have to move all the crap off of his blanket covered car seat first as well. Sounds like too much work.
