Just like most of the others on here I was looking at reviews of hardware over at Tom's and stopped in here. I stareted out here reading reviews then migrated into the hot deals of the forums, and haven't been in the OT area for too long. I see some of the people were here for a while before they joined the forums, how long did you lurk?

Visited HardwareCentral and Sysopt often... those fell apart more-or-less, then I found this through another user on one of those boards. This OT forum rocks... as far as the other forums (OS, Gaming, etc.)... I'm not so sure... I go elsewhere for "real" help... no offense of course.

When I got re-instated with the State of CA. back in Oct 2000, a guy at my work who's into computers told me about this place.
Result: Hot Deals addict, FS/FT junkie, now I've been trying to hang out in OT to kind of even out.
This place is great! Information absorbtion is a good thing.

Found the link on sharkyextreme's forums after the one dude left and everybody was leaving that site.
My technogeek bf got me hooked. I wondered why the hell he was spending so much time here, that I thought I'd check it out. You guys are hilarious...and extremely helpful. I got a laptop from someone here and I love it.

looking for a price on some piece of hardware and stumbled across Hot Deals. Lurked in hot deals for a LONG time, then got sucked into Off Topic. Once i got sucked in, i knew i was in for the long haul.
