It was outstanding... very few films use that kind of filming style (not one particular event that is lead up to, just someone's life that you jump into at the beginning and then jump out of at the end)
ex. in 10 minutes of film 10 years will pass without you really knowing, you just see a child 10 years older for example.

Funny...it hasn't grossed much at the box office.
How very enlightened of you.Originally posted by: Skold
I wouldn't spend a dime on anything gay-themed. Then all we get is more of it.

You are better off not posting your personal bias here at ATOT. While everyone has some sort of personal bias for/against certain types of other people, ATOT is the exception to the rule (unless you are religous, a conservative, a smoker, a non-speeder, etc...).

One question though. Is it just Ennis' paranoia that causes him to see Jack getting beaten to death by an angry mob (as Jack's wife is explaining his death due to more mundane circumstances)? Or is it really what happened, just "glossed over" by the wife? I'm assuming that if Jack had in fact been killed by an angry mob, his wife could have cared less about fulfilling his last wishes.

Usually those biases don't relate to things the people can't control, like orientation or skin color. If you don't like Star Trek fans, that's just a personal preference. If you don't like Mexicans, that's bigotry.Originally posted by: Feldenak

Ditto. The wife made up a lie about Jack's death because she was ashamed of him. That's why she sounded so rehearsed as she recounted the events. Jack was actually beaten.Originally posted by: xospec1alk

I think how jack's wife was just glossing over what had happened. While she was talking to Ennis, her mannerisms sort of showed an indifference to his death. almost like she didn't care he died.
