It is absurdly hard to make it to the HoF as only a kicker. Obviously.

Adam Vinatieri has to be the second solely placekicker to make the HoF. After that, who knows if anyone will ever make it.

One of the most reliable kickers of all time (3rd as of beginning final season)

The only thing Janikowski has on Stover that I can find is long kicks, 2 of the longest ever being his.

I would say if Stover doesn't, Janikowski won't either unless he stays at it a very long time.

IMO, it's too early to judge Seabass for the HOF. Let's wait and see how long he kicks and how well he does before we make that decision. I would say, though, that if he continues on for several more years he'd at least be considered.

If you want to talk about Raider kickers for HOF consideration, Shane Lechler actually deserves it more than Seabass does.

Now if there was ever a kicker who could hit 85% of FGs from 60 yards away, that's a guy I could vote for because that would be game-changing.

I just don't believe kickers have a big enough role in the game over a career to merit being in the HOF.
