It's funny, I commonly have customers who come to me with PC problems, who obviously always allow the default of all install processes, only to have 1/3 or more of their browser windows covered by : Google toolbar, yahoo toolbar, msn toolbar, AIM toolbar, Norton toolbar, etc, etc. They're always astonished at how well their PCs run when all of that crud is killed.

that's why i dont use any toolbars, and advise anybody who comes to me for computer advice to do the same.
back when IE didnt have built-in popup blocking, then google toolbar was warranted. since then.. it's not necessary.
besides, firefox > IE anyways.
