How do you cook raw sausages? I don't wanna fry them so I assume boil them? How long?

Bratwurst are best boiled in beer and onions for a while and then grilled.

The problem with frying is getting the middle cooked before the outside is too done. A short boild before frying or grilling is optimal. Most sausage is best grilled.

What if you don't have a grill?

Seriously - do you buy it? Was talking to a friend who has it all the time - just seems weird to me, just blah. Buying meat in general, other than turkey/chicken, seems weird to me......

As opposed to ....what? Some people don't mind paying for meat. Just ask Sonz.

You can cook sausage any way just like pretty much any meat. You can grill, boil, broil, fry, etc. Some sausages are precooked. Others raw. My favorite way besides the grill is to take raw spicy italian sausage and put it in a pan and cover it with half way with water or beer and cook in the oven for 45 minutes and then flip them and cook it for another 25 minutes at around 450-500F.
