pic of car?

This. You call yourself a photographer? :p

:) I haven't picked it up and didn't take any photos, but it looks just like this one, same colour just slightly different wheels.

car has potential....

step 1 : get car
step 2 : ?
step 3 : pull chicks

profit

LOL where do you live where you can pick up women in a 14-year-old 1.6L econobox?

like i said, car has potential. Engine mods body kid, and redo interior stereo etc

i dont think ga wants to brn his money on a car tho....

Don't forget the Type-R stickers. They're good for about 50hp each and instant poontang.

And a red stripe!!! We will have this baby up to 800bhp in no time!

I'm glad we're on the same page.

Needs a huge spoiler on the back, just to unweight the drive-wheels a little more.

Well obviously a gigantic spoiler is the top of my priority list. I'll give Air New Zealand a call, maybe they have a spare 737 wing they can sell me.

greddy only counts for like 25hp. NOS counts for 100+ provided you have a fake NOS bottle in your car somewhere.

Okay, seriously, congrats to the OP for getting a car. Welcome to the modern transportation era.

However:
Engine mods + body kit + stereo + 14 y/o hatchback = 14 y/o hatchback. I don't care how much money you dump into a 1.6L engine, you are not getting anything useful out of it.

You're right, the car has potential. The potential to move the OP from point A to point B. No body kit is going to make that car sexy. But that's not the point, is it? It's a method of transportation, which it does effectively and fuel-efficiently.

whatever, the back seats fold down for a reason.

Dead bodies?

No. Everyone knows that the only suitable vehicle for proper dead body transport is an old Cadillac El Dorado.

Congrats, That's a nice looking little car. That'll give you some freedom, and as long as you don't get lazy, it won't compromise your easy living principles :^)

Pollution is shit and I was proud to be doing my bit to curb it. Why would anyone give me shit for making a conscious effort to make the world just a tiny bit better?

Because CO2 isn't pollution, it is tree food ;) :p

lol I used to pick up chicks in such gems as a '91 Civic Sedan (non riced of course), a '95 Buick LeSabre, etc.

If the girl judges whether or not she'll date you according to what car you drive, then that's a girl you want NOTHING to do with, trust me.

No, I'm 24. Yeah I know it's very  But my Dad has been making a lot at work lately (yeah, a successful real estate guy in this economy, again) so they insisted in buying a car for me.

congrats on the car:thumbsup:!

however, you'd never survive in the states without a car, unless you lived in an incredibly densely populated area with good public transit. they are few and far between

Good job on being conscious; and don't let anyone give you crap for it. Don't feel bad about having a car, it's a tool like any other. You might think that it increases your carbon footprint if you will, but consider what you are doing given the energy you're using. Do you know of a more efficient way to travel such distances whenever you please? Besides, cars are only one of the many things to consider when thinking about such things. Often overlooked is methane from agriculture, and all the big industries, that are totally unrelated to your little 1.6L. What about them? Cars are not anywhere near the only significant problem when it comes to pollution.

You make a conscious effort, and you're young -> that's more than can be said about many people! You are right about it costing a lot though, seemingly no matter what car you get.
