Spent 3.5 hours snowblowing yesterday. Often, the snow was higher than the intake on my 2-stage mid-size snowblower. Thank the gods that the thing is self-propelled. I still had to put in a lot of muscle power at times.

I get 24 hours after the last snow falls to clear my sidewalks or the ticket police go wild.

PSA: Make sure your furnace vents are clear! Carbon Monoxide BAD!

Took me about 2 hours to shovel my driveway and walkway (from driveway to front door.)

Was able to move the car through the 3-4 foot drifts before starting to shovel the driveway yesterday. Made things a lot easier 🙂

Some fucking moron just cleared out his parking space in my lot by making a huge pile in the middle and blocked half the garage from being able to get out.

After digging my car (and the SUV next to me) out of a 6 foot snow cone yesterday I am not pleased.

man i was going to head into town but heard (from friends on FB) that getting to town is a pain. guess the main road is only 1 lane most of the way from drifts. even the plows are having a hard time.

guess i am stuck in the house another day. thank goodness for online bill payments my ComEd bill is due today.

Unload the snow back into his place.

Man we got lucky. After the initial freeze, everything was encased in a half inch of ice. Then the temp shot up to 39 overnight with rain and melted everything before the temp plunged down to the 20s and the wind kicked up to 35-40mph. we would have been in a lot worse shape had everything still been frozen when the winds came.

That's the plan, preferably back onto his car.

nice

I am in the city and thought we would be buried since on a little dinky one way street but I was shocked when a huge dozer came though. Then they followed up later in the day with a regular plow blade truck.

Other than the LSD debacle the city crews did an amazing job.

I hate it when the city crews get all spaced out on LSD...they get even less done than normal...😛

WTF! It's #$%$#^ snowing in Dallas again with an inch on the ground!!! F!!! That's just adding insult to injury after all the ice last couple days. This is suck!

They're saying up to 1" more today, but radar suggests it'll be more. We'll see. Then ~2" on sunday expected, and >2" for wednesday

i think it would be hilarious if they had to delay the SB because of the power issues

They are frantically bringing up a second transmission line that was down for scheduled maintenance before this hit and they said they would turn off enough around the stadium area to make sure it has enough power.

Tough luck on Hotels and other support buildings they said though.
