I took a couple of pics this morning as well.
I shrunk them down to e-mail them, but you get the idea.

One of the pictures is one of the driveways out of my apt. complex. It doesn't look that treacherous, but it's steep and I watched at least 4 cars try to make it up and fail (some cars did make it, though). I think the eerie blue cast is because the sun was just rising.

The other picture is of my dog, Costello... he loves the snow! :)

Be very careful.

I saw a couple of nasty accidents on my short drive home from work.

No doubt!

We're heading for a low of 22.

It's 32 right now, dropped 3 degrees in the last hour.

I've never been there, but I understand Wisconsin is pretty much flat as a pancake.

OTOH, Portland looks like this.

Also, where I have been back east, it gets very cold and the snow tends to be dry. Here, the snow is very wet, icy, and slippery. "32 degree snow" I believe they call it back east.
Plus we just don't get a lot of snow in the valleys here. Lots of bad snow-drivers...

Pretty damn icy last night and this morning. Luckily, they have had time to plow and sand most of the streets in my area. It was still tough just getting out of my apt. complex this morning.

Sweet:D

Damnit though, it looks like we're finally going to get a real snowing and my WRX is in the shop (very minor parking lot fender-bender, entirely the other driver's fault). I was really looking forward to playing in the snow with the AWD :(
Now I'm stuck with a POS rental Cavalier :(:(:(

Snowing in Salem again, although just light at this point. The kids have to be furious right now: it's snowing, but it's a week too early.

Snowing lightly here now.

You can already see the back edge on radar though. I don't think its really going to snow much.

We've gotten about an inch in the last hour here. Hopefully it won't let up anytime soon :D

About the same here. It should have already stopped in west county though. The edge of the echos are right over me right now, it should stop snowing in 10 - 15 minutes.. I'm going to go out and snap some pics when it does.

Edit: Looking at the wider angle views, there appears to be more precipitation off the coast.. so we will probably get another round before the night is over.

:D

I live at such a low elevation, my house rarely gets a solid amount of snow. but then you drive like 2 miles up to Sylvan which gets totally dumped on and they have a few feet. lame.

The second wave of precipitation is building over the coast range. It will be in west county in about a half an hour, and in portland within the hour.

Just Weatherbug.

You can see it here though. It looks like it might be heavier than the first, if those greens keep building.

The "o" in Portland is literally right over where we live. It's like a bullseye. ;) Right on the county line between Multnomah and Clackamas, right next to I205.

It's already starting to melt! :(

Went outside to snap some more pics. The air temperature has risen noticably. It's melting in the trees, and dropping all over.. creating neat patterns in the ground.

Typical Oregon weather. Bah.

I WANT COLDNESS!

Ya, I just woke up for a second, and I'm seeing the same thing even in the west hills.:( By the looks of it, it never even really snowed here tonight.:(
